I just ordered 5, 510 Mega cartos from TW (along with 801-510 converter) to try on my JStick/Bartleby.

I chew up between 5-6ml of juice a day so I'm hoping 3 of these will give me a full day with little/no top off.

If it works out that way, this could be a very sweet deal assuming I get even 2 weeks out of each carto (with refilling along the way)

The TW 510 Mega Cartos arrived!!!! and wow are they MEGA!!!
I was hoping with my 801-510 adapter I could get them to work with my 801 Bartleby but there's no way they fit into the recessed hole.

So I popped out my Protege' and fired one up and am pretty impressed <cough> <cough>. LOTS of vapor and very easy draw.

Now, I've not used cartos until now and the refilling of this puppy will take some doing as there seems to be no way to get it open. May have to try a small syringe thru the mouth piece side or maybe soften up the batt connector end and pull it out from there but I fear that may ruin any chance of getting it back together properly.

If anyone has any experience filling these Mega 510's I'd appreciate the input.

Otherwise for the price, they're pretty slick

Ok. It's been about a week I've been using the Mega carto (same one out of the 5 I purchased) and going back to my 801-Bartleby has been tough...less vapor, flavor and TH!!!

These things are really great! Filling and reusing hasn't been that great though. I had to fashion up my own contraption to refill them as I don't have a syringe/shunt cause I never needed one. So I used the bottom plug that comes with the carto, cut out a hole in the very center so that batt air hole would show. I push it back into the carto and then use an old and very large medicine syringe and fish tank air tube that fits into the hole I cut out. That forms a pretty good/tight seal round the batt connection while leaving the air hole "open" for me to push in the juice.

That has been working well but overfilling is very easy - I've yet to refill a full 2.5ml into it without 1/3 coming up and out the mouth piece. It takes some doing and there is a bit of leakage so I can't say I've mastered this part of the deal - but it's working and keeping my first one alive and cranking for a full week now.

Taking the mouth "piece" apart only revealed 2 caps (first top mouth cap with single hole and then inner cap with 2 holes) and a sealed looking sub-tube within the whole carto. Nothing like the coil or filler showing so batt refill seems the only obvious option.

I think a syringe/shunt would be my next approach - hoping it will fit into the batt air hole and at least give better control over volume of juice injected. I still think leakage from the batt is going to be an issue especially as it ages and the filler becomes more "soaked" over time.

Anybody else have any suggestions please, please, please post them. Other than the refilling "issues"...these things ROCK!!

Your best bet will be a syringe.

DOH!!! Now that pic would have come in REAL handy last week :D

I saw that when pulling out the mouth pieces but it didn't look to be fully open and lead into the filler area - but I guess it does.

THANKS!

That port isn't open.. it's sealed. You poke through it with the needle the first time you fill/refill.
