I'm so pumped, I can't wait for my paycheck to be direct deposited so I can order everything... I like my ego but even with LR anything I'm left wanting more. Do you guys have any suggestions for 6v vaping other than the prodigy? The provari is out of question just much more than I'm willing to spend right now.

Absolutely, there's a difference! When I vape at 5V, the vapor is more dense and the flavor of my juices really come through. At 6V, the effect is even more pronounced and the TH is increased somewhat. I've also noticed that not all juices taste good at 6V. Some just taste burnt or the flavor is destroyed by the heat. You have to consider how the increased wattage and subsequent heat is going to work with the flavors you're currently vaping. I love using DCCs at 3.7 and 5V, but use a HV atty at 6V.

I think reading this little article might explain LR and HV atties and vaping a little better.

2.5ohm Dual Coils are nice on 6v

I'm glad to hear this. I just received an order of 20 of them. I haven't given it a shot due to batteries not having arrived.

I saw that madvapes.com has higher ohmed smoktech cartos for higher volts. If anything else, I'll give those a shot also.

I've used 3.0ohm Boges at 5V and they work great.

I bought a bunch of those (the 3 ohm dual coils) and love them. I've been running them between 5.0 and 5.7 on my Provari to good result, not too harsh a hit and lots of vapor, but the flavor is a little better closer to 5

I keep a 1.5ohm dually filled with FSUSA Purecig. Pop it on my REO Mini at 6v, and it takes care of any cig craving I may have. Warning, it is INTENSE!

I've run the 1.5 ohm triple coils at 6 volts . . . MONSTER hit, but be damn sure to keep the carto good and wet ;-)

Ooh, I'm going to have to check those out. I have some of the 2.5ohm ones from Avid Vaper, but they start to get noisy, and taste a bit scorched, north of 4.5V.
Have they been consistent? With the 2.5ohm ones, I had 2 of my 5 pack fail really early on (and at just above 4V). :(

Wow. I can only imagine. What setup can handle that wattage? I didn't know of any regulated mods that will push that many Amps / that kind of Voltage.

And, given how hot those things get at lower voltages, does the carto glow red-hot like a lightsaber? And if so, what do you attack with it? ;)

Womprats. Big ones ;-)

The triple coil in question was in a carto tank. I don't think I'd dare do that with just the carto by itself, I'd probably burn it, but in the tank it stays wet nicely. It was a very intense, hot hit, but satisfying. I only hit it for about 1-1.5 seconds at a time
It wasn't a regulated mod I was running it on. None of those could push that many amps (calculated for 6 volts on 1.5 ohms and that's 4 amps and 24 watts!!). I did this briefly on my UltraMax just to try it out. Definitely not recommended on grounds of battery safety, though, unless they have a very high mAh rating ;-)

As for the 3 ohm duallies, I've only had them since Monday and only had a couple of them in rotation but performance has been consistent so far after as many as 4 fills. No issues with them so far. I'm also .... about metering my attys/cartos when I get them and all ten of the ones I bought are nicely within 0.1 ohm of where they should be

LOL, I don't use it for regular vaping...only to kick my own .... if I get a serious craving. My normal set up is AW IMR 14500 3.7v with a Cisco 1.5ohm 306. For "normal" 6v vaping I like the Boge 3ohm carto.
