I really like the Elite carts, but they're way too expensive. 15 bucks for 5 is brutal. I know they hold 2ML, but I've quickly attained quite the collection of juices and have been trading some with a friend of mine so I also need to order a large quantity.

I've been searching the forums the last few hours and finally found a couple threads from this board where 2 different people mentioned how well the Volt carts work with the Elite 808 the last maybe 15 minutes.

Can't say how much I love the actual Elite batteries though and the Elite Tobacco Sampler wound up awesome although I've still only tried the Menthol and the Impulse because I ran out of clean carts and tanks.

The Green Tea, 555(T5) and RY4 is solid as well, but the 24mg strength is a little much for me most nights unless I'm tying one on.

But that Impulse is a great flavor, my favorite ADV thus far our of 16 flavors I've tried or have.

Bob I know you've also found success cleaning carts and what not, can you link me to one of your in depth past posts on the subject?

I'm trying to get an idea how these work with the Elite 808 though.

I don't know the voltage of Elite 808 but if it's regulated 3.7V then it will more or less the same like regular gen2 (eq. Volt) batts. If it's unregulated, I presume 4.2V fresh, trickle down to 3.7V ~ 3.4V then it will more or less the same like using it with regular gen1 (eq. V4L) - scorched juice at first but great afterward.

Yeah that would be the latter then lol.

For the Elite cartos (and Go-carts) I've used this ultrasonic cleaner:

Amazon.com: Original Bogue Systems .. Professional Ultrasonic Cleaner .... Cleans Jewelry + Optics + Eyeglass + Cd + Dvd with Sonic Waves + More: Electronics

They might be cheaper somewhere else. Using hot hot HOT water I run a couple of cycles and keep changing the water until I can't smell any e-liquid. A final flush under the tap and then I bake em at 200 degrees for about an hour.

For all the other KR808 cartos I use one of these I got at Walgreen's

Walgreens.Oral Syringe | Walgreens

It fits snugly on the cap end of the carto. I flush with hot water a couple of times and then a couple more to blow out most of the water. I do this until I can't smell any e-liquid remaining in the carto and bake the cleaned cartos on a cookie sheet for about an hour at 200 degrees.

And that's how much trouble I go through because I can't stand to throw out anything that costs 2 - 3 dollars until it's completely, absolutely, and utterly dead.

Hey Barry.. I have the Elite also and I use Volt cartos with it,, they work fabulously and the price is pretty good too.

Thanks.

I ordered a bunch of them.

Was thinking about it too and as much as I really do like the Elite whistle tip ones, they are really great, I also love the idea how easy the standard ones like the Volt are to fill using the condom fill method.
Also the fact they have the condoms to begin with to prevent them from leaking in my pocket and then they also had a small case for 50 cents that holds five of them and the colored tips for 50 cents so I can tell apart my flavors super easy and I was sold.

Thanks Bob.

I've seen this before that most people seem to bake them, but I wondered, has anyone thought if that is safe with all the plastic and filler being heated at that temperature for a long period of time? Could it release chemicals or anything?

As far as low resistance, I can only speak from personal experience because I know nothing about this stuff, but I had both my Go-Go batteries die within a few days of each other after using low resistance (2.0 ohm) cartos on them for 2 or 3 weeks. I don't think it was a coincidence. And the Go-Go is a fat batt, with 1300 mah. I definitely would avoid LR cartos on the Elite! Personally, I'm not using LR cartos on anything anymore.

I think anything higher than 200 for over an hour could cause problems. That said, I have no idea what the internal temp of a cart is while vaping. I used to air-dry the carts after cleaning but that could take days. I did a test dry in the oven and it worked. No "funny" tastes or smell on re-use. I did read somewhere in here about a guy who baked at higher temps and messed up the outside paper wrapper on the carto. Cartos aren't cookies.

Volt carts work great with the Elite!

Man, so I finally am getting to try some of the juices I've had for a couple weeks that I had no empty cartos for and wow, the Impulse liquid from Elite is crazy, I mean it really tastes like a cigarette. Like a lit cigarette.

I'm trying to put my finger on what brand, maybe a Pall Mall and when you're down like 2 thirds of the way on the stoag.

I'll tell you, I don't miss cigarettes haha. The Storm is awesome, my favorite E liquid so far, but it's a tobacco that tastes like you're pulling on an unlit stoag, the Impulse tastes like the genuine article.

I think my first few weeks I would have loved this liquid, but now I've actually come to find I loved cigarettes then but not anymore that I've quit.

I love the Volt cartos. The horizontal coils are so much better, in every way.
