I can't seem to find a combo that provides the best flavor and vapor combo I'm using a panzer and an atomic rda I have 30ft of 28 gauge kanthal so what would you guys suggest. I did a nano dragon coil like the one on the rip trippers tutorial but his seems to work much better. I got the same ohm reading as him, but the flavor and vapor is decent .7 ohms give me some options.

I just started doing sub ohm, so I am by no way an expert. I firmly believe in K.I.S.S.. I have a dual coil on my Plume Veil clone sitting on top a Brass Nemesis clone. 26 gauge, 6 wraps on a #1 precision (7/64) phillips head center build. It checks in at .5 ohms. As Rip Tripper puts it "Chucks the Vapor!" and the flavor is superb. I'll try to put a couple pics up in this thread a little later. With 28 gauge you could use the #0 precision (3/32) with 7 wraps.

Or I could do twisted 28g with 5-6 wraps. Does wicking determine the flavor? Or is it the actual coils themselves?

I heard the magma alone enhances flavor? How true is this?

People attribute it to the airflow hole being directly underneath where the coil is intended to be positioned, much the same as a Kayfun.

I haven't used the Atomic so I can't really compare, but on my Origin V2 clone (first and only RDA till my Magma arrives) I've tried twisted, dual coils, quite a few of the builds RipTripper has made videos on, and so far I've always come back to a simple single coil. I've been gradually working my way down in ohms from 1.5, starting to find a sweet spot around 0.7 - 0.8 ohms. Wicking is definitely important, there's a happy medium between too much and too little. Most people twist the wicking material either side of the coil and make sure that they can move the wick through the coil reasonably easy.

what RDA you are using can greatly effect Flavor, in my experience, Magma is top on flavor, Followed closely by the Plume Veil. the plume is a really good combination of flavor and vapor production because of its airflow. Also, you will get more flavor with more surface area on your coils. in my experience a .5Ω dual coil with 28g in parallel will give much better flavor than not parallel, same number of wraps, ohms, and coil diameter.
In my Magma, i will do dual 28g at .7Ω. In the plume i will do dual 24g at .3Ω. I find in the plume the .3Ω is not too hot of a vape, because of the airflow, but in the magma, anything below .5Ω is way too hot.
As for a suggestion, maybe try a parallel coil, Dual if the positive post can fit four strands.
Edit to add, Wicking material can effect flavor too, i get better flavor from Koh Gen Doh, and Rayon than i ever did with normal organic cotton.

This all just my :2c:, ymmv etc etc :)

I run an atomic as my adv. I run dual 8 wraps of 28 gauge at .7 ohms. Great vapor but was having muted flavor till I wicked with rayon cut down to short tails. I tilted coils as to get wick short as possible and still touch the deck. Now I can go to small holes for flavor or big for clouds. The key for flavor for me was shortening the tails. Woke that little atty up.
