Best coil

I decided to try something new and bought 20ft of 2x(26-36) ni80 Juggernaut wire from Wotofo, but all I'm getting so far is massive spitback- tiny hot balls of liquid shooting from the coil in every direction. Unbearable, especially with wide 810 drip tips. I'm either doing something wrong or it's simply a crap wire pattern.

I don't really use coils that complex, but things I would try are tighter wicking and or higher wattage.
Sometimes there is just too much liquid sitting on the coil, or it is being vaporized too slowly.

More wattage is, IMHO, is just a bandage over the not enough wick problem, which is usually the culprit of a spitty coil.
