I have the NPRO and it might be the atomiser but it feels really weak, and with esmokey treats low juice I feel nothing going down my throat. Would this just be because of the low nic liquid? Or is the NPRO just not that great at producing vapor?

I've heard good things about the EVO and the DSE901, and I was just wondering, what to you produces the best smoke/throat hit?

I'd like as low nic as possible, and something that resembles a cigarette, no penstyles or cigars or pipes please. Thanks.

(Anyone know how to speed up that process, BTW?)

Vape it like never before! =P
BTW, this raises a curious question that I have yet to seen answered. Why does an atomizer needs time to break in? I'll maybe open up my own thread instead of hijackin this.

In response to KrAzY... well, I have an Evo but not a 901, so I can not make a direct comparison as you are asking, and I can only say that an Evo looks and feels much more like a real cigarette which seems to be what you are looking for. I'll get a 901 sooner or later just to check it out, it seems to be such an appreciated device.

In my experience, the NPRO produces more vapor, but my 901 gives a better throat hit. Weird I know, but it's just true. In my case anyway. Either device is sufficient. Juice makes all the difference.

I use the 3 sets of 901's and a set of the first e-cig I got to get me through a day. I also carry a pack of disposables in case of emergency. The original gets the best hit and lasts the longest, but it’s a buck and a half retail. So far I am smoke free for 49 days and killed 2 atomizers and 3 batteries. The first set the one battery worked great and the second I had to suck like a pacifier to get one hit out of ten. If your serious and don’t want to be jonzing get more than one set. I went from Two plus packs a day to none.

I am not sure anyone in any thread has really identified all the factors related to throat hit. I have heard theories about nicotine level, low temperature of vapor, atomizer type, e-juice type, etc. I am sure all are contributing factors. This whole habit/hobby is very much hands-on and requires lots of initial experimentation (and cash) to find what works best for you.

Since throat hit seems to be a moving target, I would suggest that you expereiment with different e-liquids from different manufacturers. Start with higher nic juices in flavors you might like; you can always cut them with glycerine, PG and distilled water if they are too strong for you. One forum member recently posted about the use of high strength vodka and citrus juice to produce good throat hit. Don't recall the thread so do a search.

You do not say if your are using the NCIG or NPRO model, but pick up another atomizer from a different supplier. If you are using the NPRO, the pen-style atomizer from Puresmoker is very, very good.
