The authority of the FDA is not a moral authority at all. It is the authority of the gun. It is by muscle and not by right that the FDA is forcing those who sell these products, and those who choose to buy them, to forgo the opportunity to pursue their happiness in the way they judge best...If even one American dies who otherwise would have lived, and it will likely be many more than that, the guilt of the government will be beyond repair.

Well Said :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Though the thought of the government feeling guilty is truly laughable....

Do you think anyone's going to listen to us? We were smokers which means our opinion may not carry any weight. No one's out there asking recovering smokers what their opinion is. Has any recovering smoker here ever been asked where a smoking area should be located, or how it should look?

Actually, yes.

When our company moved it's office into a new building my boss (the owner) polled all the smokers in the office as to where the new smoking area should be located (within the limits of AZ law of course). Of course, he is definitely the exception to the rule.

Talking of Governments....

Found on the website of the Executive Board of the Health Ministers Council for GCC States...........
Under the Anti-smoking program.....

Constraints..........
" The lobby formed by the tobacco companies and their agents in the member States through traders has a great impact on issuing and implementing the Ministers' resolutions."

Well done Gulf States for being honest about how you're so totally in the hands of BT. Be really good if you stood up to them, but somehow doubt it.
Have heard from a reliable source that if the FDA bans e-cigs in the USA, all Gulf countries will follow suit.
Come on, ECA !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb:

I think the gov wants to ban e-cigs cause it would cause them more work.

They want us to smoke analogs because they already have the laws set up telling us where we canc/can not smoke them.

If everyone switched to e-cigs, they would have to take the old laws off of the books, more work for them.

Not to mention they wouldn't have any control over the situation. This is the reason why weed is illegal (not that I care). They can't figure out how to tax it and control it.
