Well I am still fairly new to the E-cig generation. I think I am possibly allergic to PG but I am not 100 percent sure. I can't smoke the current juice I have now. But I will have some money right after christmas and I am thinking of trying blu e-cigs. I was reading on their website and they claimed to be PG free! I am really excited about this, although I don't even know if PG is what I am allergic to, or if I am allergic to vaping in general. I am in a learning curve with e-cigs right now and its very hard haha.

My main question is what is the best e-cigs out? I am looking for something that looks like a real ciggerette (Such as the look of the dispoables / the blu c-cig for example. I like those kind because they are small and nice looking as well. Especially the blu E cigs. I need your opinions! :toast:

- I have heard Green Smoke is good, Panda, Blu seems to be really good as well. What are your suggestions I am really excited to try a new brand. Specifically something that has really A+ reviews and dominating the market in sales. No PG please if you know any without the PG those are the ones for me, as I am trying to figure out which E-cigs are best for me. I am in a trial and error kind of a mood with e-cigs.

:toast:

YMMV, but I have a couple of times spent a load of cash on cig-a-likes, and my vaping experience lasted around 14 mins. There is just not enough power in a tiny package to satisfy. And the carts taste revolting. I only stopped the fags when I bought my first eGo type starter kit. Up to you. Some people have seemed to get on ok with cig-a-likes. They just weren't for me. ;-)

I don't know if Blu e-cigs have PG or not.
When I stopped smoking analogs 18 months ago, the Blu e-cigs is what I used. I used them for a year and never smoked another analog.
So they worked for me for sure. After this year I moved up to the more advanced e-cigs and now only use tanks that I rebuild the coil/wicks.
Good luck and hope you find what works for you.

I managed a month, my mother about two months, so the 14 minutes might be just a bit to the left on the bell curve. :)

But yes. If you can skip the cig-alike phase, do so. Some can't because the form and familiarity are too important to them (that was my initial feeling and I don't regret the cig-alikes I purchased in the slightest--they served their purpose).

In that case, an eGo kit with a clearomizer or other liquid holder would be great. Just choose 100% VG liquids.

If you find you really need the familiar form and feel, Volt e-cigs by Smokeless Image are a good choice, and Bloog is always a good choice as well. In a while, you'll grow annoyed with the short battery life and constant recharging and move on, as so many of us do. Similarly, most--not all--of us leave the cartomizer (the thing that looks like a cigarette filter) behind for something with higher capacity, better performance, and greater lifespan.

When you do, thank your cig-alike and your cartomizers for getting you over the initial hump and put them away lovingly. Without them, you might not have made the initial switch!

If you have to have a cig-alike, then i recommend the Volt from SmokelessImage. I suggest getting the Pro kit so you get the extra charge-on-the-go ability with the PCC. Use the code VOLTSAVE for 16% off. Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette

Otherwise, if you feel that you could use something a little larger, I suggest a Kanger EVOD kit. There is a 3.7V regulated kit, and there is also a variable voltage kit, which is what I would personally go with.

VV - Kanger Mini Protank 2 Starter Kit -VV

For 100% VG juices, i suggest checking out Heather's Heavenly Vapes for great flavors at great prices. Custom E-Liquids : Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids

My 2 cents Blu is not worth the money. I actually have one of their kits. The charger pack died 10 days in. Personally I think their flavors are awful. Every one I tried is a heavy tobacco with a light something else over it. Not my cup of tea.

If you absolutely need to pick something up locally to tie you over Fin at walmart has a cheap starter kit that is 510 threaded. Which mean you could buy empty cartomizers or clearomizers later to fill with juice from anywhere. That COULD be important if you do indeed have allergys to juice components.

If you are dead set on a cigalike for long term I strongly suggest Smokeless image who has a cigalike setup that is half decent. They have been in business a long time. Know their stuff and have great customer service. Smokeless Image | The Best Electronic Cigarette these are NOT 510 threaded but they do sell empty cartomizers and clearomizers that work on them.

It is hard to test for PG or VG or Flavoring allergys if you do not make your own juice. THe only thing you can try is buy some 100% VG juice in a specific flavor from a specific vendor and note your reaction. Then buy the SAME flavor from the SAME vendor in 100% PG and note your reaction. If you react to one and not the other then you know which PG or VG is the problem. If you react to both it is probably the flavoring. If you react to neither it could be a flavoring in the juice you used originally.

Be aware though that vaping dehydrates us badly. You must seriously increase your water intake or you will get dehydrated. That could be part of why you feel crappy. Also be aware that over the next months and weeks of vaping all the time some 4000 chemicals will be leaving your body (from smoking) and there will be times you just feel lousy. It passes and it gets better. Some of us have few side effects and some have a great many. No way to predict ahead of time.

Well I do have already what I would call an intermediate type kit, but I bought this as a new user and it took me a little while to get use to it and as I am still learning that with all the different types of flavors I have to change my voltage and watts alot for my liking. This is the BATTERY that I currently have now:Torpedo V2 Variable Voltage E-Cig Kit - Intermediate Kits - Kits. I have a different tank and charging cord though. This is my charging cord:TKO Retractable MicroUSB-to-USB Charging Cord for Torpedo V2 - Chargers - Batteries & Chargers. And last but no least this is my tank. Its actually a pretty decent tank:Kanger t3s - Bing Images.

So overall I have what would be called an intermediate kit, but all the juices I have from when I bought this kit have the PG and VG in them. Mostly a 60 pg 40 vg mix. I think the PG is causing me problems so I am going to try all VG and see if that works. Does anybody know if the liquid in blu e-cigs is all VG. Because on there website it says there juice is PG free, meaning that if this is true the juice must be made of all VG right? It only sounds right, but I could be wrong, this is why I am asking you for your opinions.

The Blu's use Johnson Creek Juice (which you can buy separately, just not the flavors in the Blus) and I believe they are 100% vg.

Johnson Creek Smoke Juice - We Make Premium Smoke Juice for all electronic smoking devices! Johnson Creek Smoke Juice

I started with the Blu's. They lasted two weeks before I ordered a better set up. The problem for me was I'd take a toot and it would be pretty good but by the third draw there was nothing. IMO you will be very disappointed in the Blu's after using the set you do now.

As for juice, take a look at Best E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes | E Cig Juice - MT Baker Vapor they sell PG free juice (and every mix in between) plus they are cheep! $8 for 30ml. I've tried six different fruity juices from there and I've liked them all.

Hmm... The torpedo set you posted appears to be a knock off iTaste VV v3. The VV v3 is an excellent e-cig. The real one is anyway. Have you been having issues with it? If so, the real one is pretty cheap. $25 for the express kit that includes the charger, and you can get one that includes 5 iClear 16 clearos for around $50 to $60.

If you are simply looking for something less complicated, I'd go with the Kanger Mini Protank II kit someone else posted. It's also variable volt, but there aren't a bunch of buttons to press. I think it's a dial you turn on the bottom to move the power up or down. Much easier to learn how to use, but does not come with a variable wattage option. Only variable volts. Variable watts are basically a calculation between the resistance of your heating coil on a clearo, and the volts the battery sends out. Vaping while using watts means that once you set the watts you like on your device, it doesn't matter which clearo and coil you are using, your device will adjust the volts to the ohms and give you the same kind of hit. Variable volts means you manually select your voltage level depending on which resistance your coil is. If you change coils, you may have to select a different voltage setting. A 1.5 ohm coil would need less volts then a 2.5 ohm coils for example. So, while the iTaste/Torpedo kit you have may seem more complicated, if you are vaping via watts it's like variable volts on automatic drive, rather then manual. You can set watts and forget it.

I suggest you keep the Torpedo kit, and purchase 100% VG e-liquid for it. You can get it at several vendors. I've heard that most cigalikes just don't have the power to give you a good throat hit. How many cigarettes did you smoke per day, by the way?

Blu originally got me off cigarettes so I can't totally bash them. They definitely left me wanting more.
Blu prefilled carto's...expensive and at least one carto was dead on arrival out of each pack. Carto life would vary greatly.
Blu disposables were crazy expensive but seemed to work better for me than my starter pack.
Battery life was horrible. I felt like I was a slave to a USB. I was constantly swapping out batteries. By the time one charged up, or was close to charging, I would have to switch it out because the current one I was using was dead.

Plenty of vendors out there with 100% VG options. Much cheaper to refill your tank than buying prefilled cartos.

No right or wrong answer, if it works for you jump on it!

This is what I think I am going to do. Keep my kit and just get 100 percent vg juice. Yes this is a knockoff, I have heard this from somebody else before as well. No worrys though, its still a great kit, hits like a champ and puts out loads of vaper. I was very happy with the way it smoked. It just sucked because I just starting vaping and was having trouble with breathing for a while but that is why I am trying new things to figure out what I need. Also I take medication so I am trying to figure out what the real root of the cause of my problems are. Like someone else said, people try to blame stuff on vaping although it may be a different issue. so that is what I am in the brink of doing is finding a successful to vape and get off of these stinks.

By the way, with this battery it is set at 2.3 ohms. So what would be a good voltage and wattage to run.? I can go from 3.3-5.0 max and 6.0 to 11 to 12 watts. I never go this high with watts though as I don't need that many watts.

Ohms should actually be the resistance of your coil head, not the battery. The higher the ohms, the more volts you will need for a good throat hit, you can either vape by volts or by watts. It can not be both as watts are really a calculation that uses your ohms and volts together. I think it's the ohms squared divided by the volts, which equals total wattage. Your device should remember the last setting you used for watts, or remember the last one you used for volts., but they are two separate settings that you can choose from. Variable volts is like driving a stick shift. You would need to set the volts higher for a higher resistance coil, and lower for low resistance. Using the watts setting is like driving an automatic,. You set the watts you like, and even if you switch coils or clearos that have a different ohm reading, your device will automatically adjust the volts it sends so that the watts are what you set it for. No adjusting of the volts needed by you. Trying vaping at a lower setting, either by volts or watts, and keep moving up until you get a hit you like. If you switch a coil or clearo and you are in volts, adjustment may be needed again to find your sweet spot. If you are in wattage mode, you should get the same hit you left it at.

I had some similar issues to you when I first got started. For me it was VG I had the issue with. You gotta kinda play around with the PG and VG a bit to see what is best for you. Johnson Creek is a decent place to start.
