I guess a good way of finding the best e-juices would be to ask. But then everyone has their own taste and reason, so why not add that (what kind of tastes you like, what you used to smoke, anything useful) so if someone has similar tastes to you, and you tried 100 different e-juices and have 2 favorites, it would help those who dont plan on buying 100 different e-juices to find one that we really like.
Example:
I like 555 Menthol, its almost like a newport, much better than the nuport e-juice. I've smoked newports for 8 years, the best flavor I got out of a newport was when I smoked while having candy in my mouth or slurping on a vanilla milk shake.

The thing is, I dont really like 555 Menthol, its 24mg and it gives me an insane nicotine tingle. Newports give you this minty charcoal/tobacco type hit that is awesome with candy or a vanilla milk shake. So please help me replace 555 Menthol with a better flavor, by giving us clues to what is tried and tested already. Progress can only be achieved if we work together.

555 menthol and nuport both 24mg from nhale.com, banana 18mg from vapor4life.com, and menthol 16mg from cignot.com

right now i'm just mixing e-juices, I think I still like the 555menthol best out of the bunch, but I also kinda like the banana, or just want to like it, but I hate the nicotine tingling in my mouth and throat. so i really need to get rid of it, I just hate the taste of nicotine, I dont get any nicotine taste when I smoke newports, so why would I quit smoking if these e-cigs, gums and everything takes like nicotine crap. ughhh

That's pretty much all I use- his nuport. I'm not really fond of the 555 menthol but it's 12 mg high voltage so it's super thick.

There was an Ejuice Picks thread just days ago
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/168766-e-juice-picks.html

If you are looking for Newport-alikes, many juices sellers have them. But no eliquid is going to smell like burning paper and leaves and 400 chemicals.

Review of FreedomSmokeUSA's New Port (and today they are having 25% off juices with code anniversary
YouTube - Basilray Reviews: New Port From FreedomSmokeUSA.com

And note!! Most of the flavor is aroma. Your tongue can only sense sweet, salty, sour, bitter, umami (msg). If it is not one or more of those, your tongue is not tasting it. It's the aroma. You cannot help smelling cigarettes. With ecigs you need to let your nose have some of the vapor.

If you don't want to taste nicotine and it's harshness, don't vape 100% PG juice. I looked at Nhaler's juices - they are PG. Try 70pg/30vg, try 50/50 etc

Anyways, i just ordered a whole bunch of samplers from alien visions and vaperite, so i guess i'll just have to find my own juice. But at least I'll also have 30 different flavors to try.

You're super-human huh?

From wikipedia:

The sensation of taste can be categorized into five basic tastes: sweetness, bitterness, sourness, saltiness, and umami. The recognition and awareness of umami is a relatively recent development in Western cuisine.[3] MSG produces a strong umami taste.[4]

As taste senses both harmful and beneficial things, all basic tastes are classified as either appetitive or aversive, depending upon the effect the things they sense have on our bodies.[5]

The basic tastes contribute only partially to the sensation and flavor of food in the mouth — other factors include smell,[1] detected by the olfactory epithelium of the nose;[6] texture,[7] detected through a variety of mechanoreceptors, muscle nerves, etc.;[8] and temperature, detected by thermoreceptors.

Taste - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Since temperature and texture are no clue with eliquids, and there is no visual clue either, we are left with smell.

I do recommend 70pg/30vg juice and then adjust your PG/VG choices from there. When I vaped even 18mg nic in 100% PG it would actually make my tongue sore and numb from the nicotine. Nicotine is a skin irritant. I guess PG doesn't buffer it as well as burning paper and leaves and the other 4000 chemicals do.

Wonderful information. I just ordered the Peach.

I can't wait to hear how you like it. It has much much more flavor if you let it steep for a bit. The first time I tried it I didn't taste much. I put it away for awhile and WOW! it was great.

The peach at BWB is good also, but for some reason I really like this better. I do like the watermelon at Backwoods Brew though.

This article was obviously written by a girl too.

I got my hands on some 555 and Cherry Pipe Tobacco from BackWoodsBrew a couple of days ago and they both tasted great right out of the bottle, but am going to give them time to steep before I truly form an opinion. BWB's 555 is very tasty; basically a better tasting 555 at least fresh brewed. I'll probably go through it before it has time to steep. There's something about it that reminds me of my childhood but haven't been able to put my finger on it yet..
