So I have a Vapor Zeus from Vapor4Life but I live in Canada (I don't have enough posts to post to that forum yet) and I want to switch to a more common type of battery but I have no idea where to start. I know eGo's are probably the most commonly mentioned and I was wondering what the differences between them were and which ones you guys liked the best?

Hi

joyetech made the first eGo, but the name is now used for any device of the same body style. If you're going to buy a eGo as your primary device, I recommend paying a bit more and getting a joyetech. The generics are okay, if that's what fits in your budget, but people seem to have less problems with the name brand.

Sailebao just came out with the eGo-v V3 Mega, a 1300mah eGo that's not only variable voltage, it's variable wattage as well. I use the V2 Mega, VV but not VW. Lasts all day long, passthrough for when I forget to charge it, I can change voltage for different tanks, and I can run nearly everything on it from CE4s to RDAs. I mostly use Evod tanks though.

I'm still a newb myself, so my experience is limited. I have tried a generic 1100mah pass through, a 650mah mini battery and a Vision Spinner 1300mah variable voltage battery. Hated the mini as it just didn't provide enough for mr. The 1100 was what I used for 3. Months with iclear16 clearomizer. That was a good setup, but I'm loving the Vision Spinner using an EVOD clearomizer. Pulls harder and thicker and seems to be using less juice.

Wow the possibilities are endless!

You could start out with a really good simple ego kit like the Kanger EVOD Kanger Evod Starter Kit (t'was my first ego kit and I still use it everyday)

Or you could save yourself a step and start off with a Variable Voltage Ego like the 1300 Vision Spinner Vision Spinner Black 1300mah Very versitile and simple with good battery life ( they look pretty good with EVOD tanks on top too!)

Or there are passthroughs and different styles like the X6 or E2 Apollo. The list goes on and on...

Probably my only good suggestion is to buy a battery made by a good company like Joyetech, Kanger, Vision, Smok...

I have 2 eGo-c Twist's (1300mah) and 1 Smoktech Winder (also 1300mah). I used to have 2 of the Winders but the button crapped out on one of them after about 2 months. The eGo-c is a little more expensive, but I think it is a much better quality adjustable battery. I use the eGo's mostly when I'm out and about. Otherwise, I use a Vamo, and like it a lot (especially for the price at Fasttech.com).

I have two Joyetech eGo Twists, both about 8 months old and I have been using them daily since I got them. They are still in good condition. I don't abuse my devices but I don't baby them either. The variable voltage is nice to have. I like to have the option of changing voltage and it does make some juices taste better. With the 1000mAh one, I can use it the entire day and part of the evening but I'm not a heavy chain vaper. Hope this helps!!

Ahh so many options! I think I'm gonna go for the eGo Twist. I love passthroughs but variable voltage might win on this one. Thanks so much, guys!

The iTaste vv 3 is both variable wattage and variable voltage. Plus it has USB passthrough so you can vape and charge at the same time, color coded LED on the fire button to give you battery health during each vape and much more precise settings (3.0 to 5.0 volts in .1 volt increments and 6.0 to 11.0 watts in .5 increments.)
