what is the best high volt system for dse901.

it can use either stock or adapter for 901 atty

You don't necessarily have to go to 'high volt' (usually understood as 5 or 6 volt mods) to get better performance with the 901. Many of the 3.7 volt mods will do very well too. Most mod 3.7 volt batteries perform better (run at a higher average voltage - 3.6-4.0V for a much longer period of time - several hours) vs. the "3.7Volt" regular ecig 'kit batteries' which run at around 3.1 volts and last a few hours. So you'll see a big difference between the regular kit batteries and the non-proprietary mod batts.

Here's a battery data base which tells at what voltage the various mods run at:
e-Cig Mods Battery Chart | eCigarette-Mods.com

If you really do mean 'HV' (ie. 5 or 6 volts), then I know from experience that the regular stock 901 atty works well at 5 volts, and would be what I'd recommend for a true HV mod, although I prefer the 3.7v mods because I like the 510 atomizer and 5 and 6 volts run it too hot. (For more info see below** which gets into the more technical explanation - you might want to just save that for later reading :). The regular atomizers cost less and you'll still maintain the good taste that you can get from the 901.

Here's one viewpoint I respect from scubabatdan who goes by the numbers:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...808-901-801-joye-510-bat-pass.html#post889955

901 3.3 ohms resistance recommended voltage 4.6
801 3.8 ohms resistance recommended voltage 5
510 2.1 ohms resistance recommended voltage 3.7
Cartomizers 3.0 ohms resistance recommended voltage 4.4
Ceramic 2.7 ohms resistance recommended voltage 4.2

So the formula is Votage(V)/Resistance(R) = Current(I)
Watts or Power(P) = Current(I) * Voltage(V)
6.5 watts seems to be the wattage the attys respond best to IMO.

Others have different views on 'sweet spot' - I like between 6 and 8 Watts. Others like a bit more, but over 10W can be really hard on atomizers.

So the 4.6 recommended voltage for the regular 901 atomizer would still work well with a 5 Volt mod - giving you 7.5 Watts, whereas if you go to a 6 volt mod with the regular 901 atty, that gives you 11 Watts - too hot - so you'd have to get 'HV' 901 atomizers which have a higher ohm rating.
