Yes the cotton is touching the deck. I left my cotton a little longer than he did and I layed a micro screwdriver on top of the chimney and with another screwdriver I tucked the cotton over the screwdriver and than down the side of the chimney making kind of a loop then removed the screwdriver. Does that make sense? LOL

Actually makes perfect sense to me. I have a Kayfun to rebuild as soon as it's empty. I might give this a try ans see how it vape's But one thing I noticed is he's getting great airflow through his device, I might drill mine out a little more as well while it's apart.

I haven't drilled out any of my kayfuns yet.. I'm skeered!! I have removed the air screws though and I'm content with the airflow now. This is an awesome build. Give it a try

I've drilled out my center post, but was thinking of trying to drill out the base a little more and put a chamfer on them. I really don't think that will help airflow that much though.
