Im looking to order one but I keep reading about tight draws. I've been reading every post I can but its getting confusing. Ehpro seems to be the most liked but which one lite plus, lite plus v2, dual air flow or single? I see people ordering but I dont see any comments after they get them. Any help would be appreciated. My current set is a mvp 2.0 with pt2 coils rebuilt with cotton wick.

I think all the Kayfun clones have looser draws then PT2. Unless you have the PT2 with the airflow control. I have the Ehpro Kayfun and draw is the same as the my real Kayfun. However I converted my Ehpro Kayfun to a SOD dripper. Draw is about the same as PT2 with airflow control wide open. I haven't tried but people seem to like the Orchid Kayfun clone with the larger build deck and looser draw.

Every one of my kayfun tanks has a tight draw... BUT... it's all subjective...

The very first kayfun I ever bought... I remember the first thought in my mind was how airey the draw was... I remember thinking I might not even like it just based on the fact that it was just too loose and I liked a "tighter" draw... Of course this was coming from someone who was used to crappy clearomizers that you practically had to pop a vein in your forehead to drag on...

Now? I pick up an unmodified kayfun tank and I feel like I'm popping a vein in my forehead again! If they aren't drilled out I feel like it's just so tight and hardly any airflow at all... Using drippers and other RTA's with much looser draw like the orchid and fogger have kinda ruined me I guess... The irony is I remember the first time I dragged on a fogger, with the AFC almost entirely closed I remember thinking GEEEZ that's ridiculous, way way way too loose, you can't possibly enjoy that... LOL Now I typically run them with the ring removed... LOL

I have the EHPro Kayfun 3.1 and the draw is fine at 3.7v to 4.5v depending on the juice I'm vaping. I've tried removing the screw and didn't notice much of a difference. When you route two 1/16" air holes into one 1/16" vertical air hole under the coil, you still have a 1/16" duct at the end. The screw intersects the main air duct at an angle. If you close it down a few turns you start to notice a reduction in air flow as the screw starts to close off the path to the main duct leading to the coil head.

I don't lung hit and the air flow is fine for me.

When I first switched from clearo style to rbas I thought the kfls were airy. After using rdas fora few weeks I'm seeing them as totally tight. I got thr ehprov2 with dual airflow but the airflow isnrestricted by the centerpin so it's still tight. Thst orchid v2,square and erlkonigin would be the best alternatives for rtas in my opinion.
Here is a replacement centerpin that should increase airflow. I haven't tried it just yet, but jt may help.

Usually with a kayfun or some variation of kayfun the problems lie know the wicking and/or power applied to the build.
For the power, they seem to work best on a variable voltage device. In wicked case I always followed the math.. ie whatever build I had I added 2 to the resistance and made that my voltage and made whatever adjustments from there.
So if I have a 1.4 ohm build I would take the 1.4 + 2= 3.4 I would set 3.4 as my voltage and usually only have to go up keep down 1 or 2 clicks. Incidentally on my provari I found the Kayfuns "sweet spot " was about a 1.4ohm microcoil with 28g kanthal.

The truck with working a kayfun is that less is better. You don't want to back your coil. Take a strip of cotton and roll it thread it through the coil and fluff it a bit. When Cotton gets wet it expands a little. So you don't want it tight in the coil or it'll choke the airflow and juice channels. you don't want to little or you'll get dry hits. You want it to rub thru the coil giving just a bit of Resistance. Fold it so the ends are straight up, screw the chimney base kn and cut it just above the base, tucking it into the chimney and you hing the deck NEXT to the channels. Then give it a good shower with your juice, reusable and you should be ready.

The first few builds can be a bit tricky but after that you'll look at people like they have 2 heads comparing it to a PT2. Then you'll branch out into other rbas and keep the kayfun as old faithful.
My first build attempt was a nightmare, keep at it you'll get it.

Here's a good vid that might help with the build.
