Thanks for the link. I dont know if its my build but the flavor is not much better than my pt2 mini.
Usually with a kayfun or some variation of kayfun the problems lie know the wicking and/or power applied to the build.
For the power, they seem to work best on a variable voltage device. In wicked case I always followed the math.. ie whatever build I had I added 2 to the resistance and made that my voltage and made whatever adjustments from there.
So if I have a 1.4 ohm build I would take the 1.4 + 2= 3.4 I would set 3.4 as my voltage and usually only have to go up keep down 1 or 2 clicks. Incidentally on my provari I found the Kayfuns "sweet spot " was about a 1.4ohm microcoil with 28g kanthal.
The truck with working a kayfun is that less is better. You don't want to back your coil. Take a strip of cotton and roll it thread it through the coil and fluff it a bit. When Cotton gets wet it expands a little. So you don't want it tight in the coil or it'll choke the airflow and juice channels. you don't want to little or you'll get dry hits. You want it to rub thru the coil giving just a bit of Resistance. Fold it so the ends are straight up, screw the chimney base kn and cut it just above the base, tucking it into the chimney and you hing the deck NEXT to the channels. Then give it a good shower with your juice, reusable and you should be ready.
The first few builds can be a bit tricky but after that you'll look at people like they have 2 heads comparing it to a PT2. Then you'll branch out into other rbas and keep the kayfun as old faithful.
My first build attempt was a nightmare, keep at it you'll get it.
Here's a good vid that might help with the build.
