I just started vaping with a 510 and ecopure rich/gold. It doesnt taste anything like a cigarette to me. Just tastes like fog machine juice;). I want to get off of the analogs, but unless I can find some juice that actually has flavor similar to an analog- its going to be hard to put the real thing down. What is the consensus here regarding the best/strongest flavors from litecig? Particularly the tobacco flavors. Im not too interested in trying any fruity flavors right now as I want something more akin to an analog. I am interested in the coffee and cappuchino flavors though. Anyhoo, how would you all rate the various tobacco flavors?

I really enjoy the Hilton, the Camel, and the Marlboro is ok in a pinch, however, I was never a menthol smoker with analogs and now the menthol, mint, and other "novelty flavors" are my favorites. I also started out wanting only the tobacco type juices, but when I got my taste buds back, I found the othes MUCH more enjoyable to me personaly.

I recomend the Hilton for tobacco taste.

Everyone starts off wanting liquid that tastes like a cig and yet after a while a cig will taste and smell nasty. Strange eh?

I used to be a heavy Marlboro smoker. The 555 is easily my favorite tobacco flavor, though the Hilton and Camel aren't bad. The ry4 I do not like - too much sweet, caramel, something. The Power Puff (ry3) is a little better. The dark tobacco is ok too, but no closer to an analog IMO than the others.

I haven't tried the Party Puff (ry2 I think?) but would like to hear some comparisons from those who have tried it.

I'm not surprised. After all smokers are used to the tobacco taste. Myself, I have a hard time wrapping my mind around smoking sweet or fruity flavors. Will experiment with flavors once I get my ecig and try it. EastMall has nice combos of trial size liquids. I may just try them.

I've been trying to find some comments on what the "tobacco" flavors taste like. Can't find any. I'm in Canada and am used to Canadian cigs. American tobacco has Turkish tobacco and tastes totally different. Personally, I don't like the taste of American cigs. I figure that the tobacco flavors probably taste like the American tobacco. Any comments? Anyone?

Everyone's taste is very different. Luckily there's a lot of flavors to choose from. You'll have to get lots of samples and experiment. To make it worse, the less you smoke, or if you stop altogether, the more YOUR taste will change.

To me, none of the tobacco flavors actually taste like a cigarette. Luckily they soon taste much better! Too much better, I gotta put this thing down ;-)

DO try some 555 though. An all time favorite.

Hi lotus. Appreciate the response. I do plan to get samples. Wouldn't want to be stuck with a big bottle of something I don't like. If tobacco flavors don't taste like a cig, what do they taste like? Names like 555 don't give one any idea of what it is. You say it's a tobacco flavor? Be nice if the companies that sell this stuff would give some description rather than just a name that means nothing to someone who has never tasted it. I'd just like some idea as to what to try. Fruit flavors are rather obvious, even though I realise they might not really taste as described. Like air fresheners don't usually smell like what is written on the labels. There must be someone here in the forum who can give some idea as to what the tobacco flavors taste like.

Where do you get the 555? Thanks.

Does the Hilton taste like real tobacco? Like American tobacco? People often name their favs, but no one seems to be able to describe the tastes. Thanks.

Not sure what is the best that might taste a bit more like analog but RY4 is good so is the PP or Power Puff I think (Shawn sent me a free bottle of this :) )

Some of my favorite flavors besides those so far would be rum and arctic mint. Dang that stuff is good.

The Power Puff is one I haven't seen anywhere. Where do you get it Darchand?

The 555 is a tobacco flavor modeled on the UK fav cigarette State555. It has a smooth tobacco flavor with a little nutty taste. Faintly like fresh nuts roasting in an oven. Someone else may say something quite different.

Two days ago I was talking to a couple who had never seen an e-cig and they asked the usual zillion questions. One thing that came up was the advantage of things (including me!) not smelling like a dirty ashtray. They wanted to know what it was like so I took a couple of big draws and blew the vapor right at them. The guy said "I WANT my house to smell like that."

Sadly the smell doesn't linger long. Maybe Shawn should market a 555 air freshener or cologne. ;-)

The Hilton is more like American tobacco to MY taste. It's less nutty and slightly less sweet than the others to me.

Thanks for that Figurehead. Finally a real description. I know taste is subjective, but nice to have some idea. You're the 1st one to mention that a tobacco flavor tastes something like an American cigarette. That's what I figured and really wanted to know. I don't expect to find a tobacco flavor that tastes like Canadian cigs. I may try a sample to taste.

Nice to know lotus. Thanks for your description. Helps a lot. I didn't know that the 555 was a UK cig. No experience with UK cigs. Only Canadian and American. I am getting so anxious to get my ecig. I'm glad you mentioned your experience with the smell. Always good info.

Try the french pipe tobacco and the oriental.

samysam1313,

I've haven't tried Litecig's liquids yet, but I have had some from a number of different suppliers, and I wanted to address a point you've raised that deserves attention. As someone who hasn't vaped yet, there's something you should understand about tobacco-flavored liquids and real smoke. Part of the flavor of a lit cigarette is the combustion element. You're tasting the byproducts of the combustion of tobacco leaf and rice paper, and as far as I can tell, this exact flavor has yet to be replicated in e-liquid. Instead, I think of the tobacco flavors as similar to puffing on an unlit cigarette.

I wouldn't worry about that too much, as the nature of vaping brings the added benefit of having a variety of flavors to choose from to fit your mood. It took me all of 2 hours after I got my first e-cig to get over the difference in taste. Think about it-- you have an object similar in shape and size to a real cigarette (for the most part! Monster battery mods notwithstanding ;)), you draw on it like a cigarette, taking in a smoke-like substance, which you exhale in nice big clouds which quickly dissipate, and you get the definite sensation of the nicotine. It's both a psychological and physiological fakeout that's pure genius. In my case, I was so caught up in just how damned cool the whole concept was that flavor was the least of my concerns. Besides that, "after-market" juices are invariably better than the stock cartridges that come with kits, so when you'vew gotten used to those things, a bottle of juice tastes that much better.

Hope this helps, and may you come to enjoy the pleasures of vaping as much as the rest of us. :)
