Hey, I'm new to all this and currently vaping a kanger t2. Thinking of getting a kanger protank 2. What differences will I notice in my vape? I also heard bottom coil clearos tend to leak, what is the prevalence of this and what can be done to prevent it? Is there anything in the similar price range you'd suggest over protank 2?

Both the Protank 2 and Protank 3 are solid clearos. The PT3 uses dual coils and produces better vapor if you have a variable voltage mod. I own both of these tanks and leaking is very uncommon. The only time the tank will leak is if the rubber gasket on the coil is loose or the connection from the coil to the base is loose.

Kanger also makes an Aerotank. It has adjustable airflow so you can either have an airy draw or a tight one depending on what you want. They make them in mini, regular, and mega. You can't go wrong with any of the clearos I mentioned. Good luck! Vape on

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
If your used to T-2's a Pro Tank two is a nice step up but the best thing about that model over the three is it's so so easy to rebuild and you can even buy premade coils from Fasttech for pennies that work great .

Doing this will keep your costs way down and provide very good flavor , i must have rebuilt mine a couple hundred times already , i love it.

Topic:

I don't own a Protank, but I do use the Kanger T3s alot, which is a bottom coil clearo. I've never had one leak, ever, and if it's full, it will last me the entire day without having to refill. It vapes extremely well, and only takes tiny, tiny sips of your e-liquid. Just thought I would throw that out there, since the T3s costs much, much less than a Protank. It's not a bad option, if you're kind of picky with how you spend your money.

What will you be using it with?

Ego-c twist vv. Ncvapeshop.com currently has aerotanks for like $13, think theyre real? I was gonna order some juices from them along with the aero when my fiancee gets his paycheck Friday. I know the owner frequents ecf.

I notice the aerotank has higher ohms (2.0 vs 1.6) than the nautilus, how does this effect the vaping experience? Which is better to use on vv?
Edit: also, this review: www.bestclearomizer.com/kanger-aerotank-review/
Mentions the glass on the aerotank breaks easily. Does anyone have experience with that? What causes it?

My absolute favorite so far is the full sized Anyvape Davide, followed by the Mini Protank 2, followed by the full sized Protank 2 with an added airflow controller. I prefer an airy vape, so YMMV.

I was definitely underwhelmed by dual coils - somewhat more vapor using a lot more juice and battery power.

I'm thinking of just ordering the aerotank since I can't afford the nautilus this pay check (have baby things to buy for my 8 mo old son and saving up for our wedding) and then maybe try nautilus later on. But I like the adjustable air flow feature so I think I'll go with the aerotank although I'm not 100 percent yet.

I've heard good things about both the Aerotank and the Nautilus. I moved on from clearos before those came out though, so I have no personal experience with them.

For a VV battery, around 2 ohms should be good. It'll give you more freedom in selecting power ranges the coils can handle. Too low of a resistance, and the higher power settings will give you a burnt taste. Too high and you won't get enough vapor. 2 ohms seems to be a good middle ground.

If money is a concern, you may wish to consider cartotanks. The single coil cartotanks gave me more flavor then the dual coil iClear clearos that I DID try. Single coil cartos to put inside them can be cheaper then the dual coils for clearos depending on where you go to get them. Cartotanks also gave me less problems to troubleshoot. A quality one doesn't leak unless it's time to swap out the carto, and cartos die a long, slow, death when they're in a tank so there's plenty of warning when it's time. I liked the tanks from IBTanked. You can get one for around $20 there, and the Smok cartos are $1.35. Not sure on the pricing of dual coils for clearos these days, but the cartos were less expensive then the coils back before I started rebuilding a few months ago.
