I am currently using a vv Nova which is highly reccomended. it vapes pretty well but it gunks up frequently. esp with high vg juices. it also sometimes burns the liquid and does not wick correct so i have to shake it up every two or three vapes to get it to wick properly. anyway i have heard bottom coil has better vape production and shorter wicks. are they easy to maintain. i read somewhere kanger protanks were good and other people say they leak very often. what is the best bottom coil to use or should i just stick with top coil clearomizers. any thoughts on this?

too each their own...I use both...most of the time I prefer my vivi nova but every now and then I get stuck on the protank...atm I'm using my hypertank (just cuz of the look of it ;) )
Bottom coil tanks are a cooler vape whereas top coil tanks are a warmer vape...
top coil tanks sometimes you have to swirl/tilt for wicking
bottom coil tanks sometimes you have to tip upside down to stop from flooding atty

they both have the pros and cons....and everyone's taste is different....juices taste a bit different in one or the other...
I seem to like the fruity flavors from the vivi and the more nutty flavors from the protank

sorry...I don't vape tobacco flavors...when I decided I was giving up smoking and going to only vape I strictly stayed away from tobacco flavors to not tempt myself...plus I was an avid clove smoker anyways so never really cared for the cig taste :p

for more throat hit try using more pg instead of vg in your juices

With a vivi I've found that shortening and fluffing the wicks helps the most. The action of tilting my PV to get a vape is enough to completely saturate the wick and coil. With a shorter path to the coil my juice (50/50 mix) keeps the coil wet enough to avoid dry hits.
