Okay guys thanks for all the help. I think I've narrowed it down to the stingray and the nemesis. I am going to be getting a black kayfun clone so the mod needs to be black. I saw you can buy aluminum black tubes for the nemesis but of course at an extra cost.

Stingray or Nemesis? Is the stingray smaller? It seems like it. It also looks like its switch throw is better.

You can also get the Stingray in black. (Both authentic and clones)

Everyone will have their favorite based on personal experience, and never forget that everything in any design is a compromise.
Stainless steel is a poor conductor, but holds up well.
Copper is an excelent conductor, but is soft and doesn't hold up well.
Brass is a compromise that is a good conductor, and will hold up ok if you take care of it.

Of the three HCigar clones that I have I rate the brass Caravela best over all. The brass Chi You has the least drop under load, but is a "klunky" design, and the SS Nemises isn't worth the powder to blow it to hell until you put a Kick in it. The SS Nemesis is the most Kick friendly of the three, and is an excelent performer with the Kick.

I picked up a Chi You clone back when i first started switching from the ego twist and venturing out into other things..at least i think it's a clone..
it looked like the original that rip tripper was holding and had the original features on it..but heck i think i only paid like 50 or 60 buck for it..so it's some sort of clone version i would think..

It didn't say clone on it and it was being sold at the local vape shop on the other side of town..heck i didn't really even look at the brand of it..just seen it was brass with nice contacts..simple design and felt food in my hand and fired really nice..

after getting it and then wanting to see if there was a review on it,i felt pretty terrible getting it when rip tripper was rippin on the guys that cloned it..
i was like, damn this thing is a black market item being sold at a store in town?
    i was ...... off..
after that i told the guys at the local vape shop, when you sell clones you best put clones on your tags or you are selling them as the actual product and committing fraud as well as content theft..
so now they have clones on their show tags for the clones..

that place is new and the people were less experience than i was it seems..
i went in there blowing clouds one day and it was like they didn't even know you could do that with these things. LOL

Anyways..i have to say..this puppy really does hit like a trooper..
it's just such a pain to try and keep clean..
i'm about ready to dip it to coat the outside so i can stop having to deal with it..

the adjustable contact pins are really nice..would love to get a set of gold plated..

If yours has the brass pins get these.

If yours already has silver pins, they are a better conductor than gold.

Gotta be the Nemesis for me. It basically has everything you need. Solid, reliable, modular including kick, fits magnets, airflow control, adjustable top and bottom pins, venting (important!!!), switch-outable with other versions (for the most part), and looks great. Simple and sleek. Why manufacturers are still making mechs without most of these features baffles me. The FT versions are cheap as heck and well made. Well that's the general consensus. It was my first mech and is still probably my most used. You just can't go wrong. If someone said I could get a single genuine mech, it would be the Nemesis. Did I mention I like the Nemisis? Nemesis.
