I've been vaping American E Liquids menthol 24mg in my DSE601 e-pipe as my all day vape for the last few weeks and really like it except I wish it had more thoat hit. So I got some menthol (plain) 24mg 35%VG from Tasty Vapor expecting a better throat hit from it having 65%PG instead of American E Liquids 100%VG. (I love the thick vapor you get with VG). However, it tasted real sweet like burnt sugar - kind of a cotton candy kind of smell and flavor. There is no way I can vape this stuff all day - it's too sweet and the smell makes my wife sick. It's just way too sweet. So I emailed TastyVapor and asked them if this was normal.........and they said "yes". They said that the additive they use makes it taste like cotton candy. Well, that's not how they marketed the flavor - they called it "Menthol (plain)". I emailed back and asked if they could make a menthol without the burnt sugar taste and I never heard back - nothing - nada - zip. I won't be buying any more TastyVapor although they get some great press here on this website.
So today I ordered some Menthol Ice flavored juice from Halo now that it's available again. I hear good things about Halo (I've got some Freedom juice coming too just to try it - some people here really love that stuff) and so I'm hoping for the best. I did order some Smooth8 from Halo a while back and didn't like that at all. To me, it tasted like insecticide smells and I was real disappointed. I can't find Halos' VG to PG ratio. Does anybody know that?
I haven't smoked menthol cigarettes since I was a kid, but the menthol seems to add a little extra TH and people like the smell. But the 100% VG from AEL needs more TH. I'm getting real fond of menthol now. I just wish I could find the right one.
I've tried SS Choice menthol, and the AEL menthol that I'm vaping now as well as the TastyVapor. I like the AEL the best so far. I tried the AEL Tobacco/Menthol, but like with all the tobacco flavored juices, it just taste strange. No juice that I have tried can match the taste of real tobacco in an E-Liquid.
