I bought a Vamo last weekend and so far really like it. It was about half the price of the eVic I was considering (was going to buy the smaller tube for 18350's). I have no comparison, because this was my first vv/vw mod - but I think it works great and like you, carry extra 18350 batteries so that I can keep it a little smaller.

My only complaint, and it isn't really a complaint rather more of a wish. The control head on the Vamo is a little taller than what the eVic seems to be, which makes it difficult to pocket. I wish that the mod manufacturers would come out with a mod in the Vamo price range that was a little shorter so that the device could be a little more discrete and easier to pocket.

But - all in all - I think it is a good mod and at a good price.

If you are looking for a smaller size V-V mod for an inexpensive price consider the Smoktech V-V Gripper. About the size of a pack of cigs, so it will fit easy in a pocket. Atty and battery meters. Best part is despite its small size it uses an 18650 battery for all day use. About $30 - 40 at Mad Vapes or Got Vapes.

Hi All,

I own 2 Provari Mini's. All of my buddies like them but can't/won't afford the price. I was wondering what other devices you guys would recommend for a VV Mod that uses one 18350 battery? For me its pretty easy to carry around a couple extra batteries and have the smaller mod.

Orion V3 is smaller than mini proVari

Segeli Z Max v3 telescoping for sure. Not near the price of a Provari, telescoping so...best of both worlds with all the functions a modern vaper could need.

I agree, seems like a great device. I just pulled the trigger on a standard 18650 version in brushed stainless (no need for a telescoping as I only use 18650 batts) in a "kit" with batteries, charger and both end caps from varitube.com for $76 shipped with coupon code varitube10 can't beat that price with a stick. I believe you could get the v3 telescope version for the same price in a partial kit!! It's a steal!!!

vamo v2 mod, or the kecig k100, empire clone. both good mods. I recently read a post where a guy said his gripper fell off the dresser, hit the carpet and caught one fire. seriously, he has pics. I want to get the provari, I really do, but I can't stomach the cost. I know it's worth it, but man. I'll probablyget one in the future though. What I really can't stomach is $200 plus atomizers. A hobby is a hobby, but damn.

Its VW even better.

Right, so the $160 dollar device is a no but they'll definitely go for the $340 device that can only use one atty it's perfect for them.

:thumb:  It never ceases to amaze me some of the suggestions made in this forum. Either people can't read, do not bother to read an entire paragraph, or their attention span is that of a mosquito. No offense is meant by my opinion.
