any mod will do.
I have used drippers on ego's to mechanicals. genesis on mechanicals to provaris and vamos. you just have to build the atty to the limits of the device it is used on.
in any case the nemesis clones kick ....

somehow this got lost and now many think "i have this atty and need a device that can handle going to this resistance"
when its the other way around. i have this device and need to set up my coil to work efficiently with this kind of battery.

The ProVari is suitable for RBAs, the MVP is suitable for RBA. Ego batteries are suitable for RBAs, any of them are if you build for them. You do need to build the coil to suit your device, you need an ohm meter or multi meter for this. Anything below 1.1 ohms is going to stress your most common mods/batteries and create unsafe conditions and or damage the mod.

Honestly I do agree with the "just because you can sub-ohm does not mean you should" statement. I get great vapor production in the 1.3 ohm to 2 ohm range. I did sub ohm on a few builds but for my personal enjoyment being able to use the atty I build on any device I own is worth more than thick vs dense clouds of vapor. I am not trying to win any contests or impress any one, I just like to vape and fiddle with my vape.

My 2 cents.

P.S. There is a wealth of knowledge, in great detail on these forums on RBAs, builds and suitable devices. Google search will reveal them and takes seconds. Be sure to start with the safety threads.

I vape at around .8 ohms on a mech and it isn´t unsafe at all, it all depends on your batteries and device.
it is really risky and dangerous to drive your bicycle at 60 mph but it's perfectly safe to do it on a car in a highway...(it's all in the capabilities of your device)

You probably know that the atty is .8 and know what batteries you are using and their capabilities as well as your devices, that is safe. The OP stated RBAs have lower resistances and needed a mod for it. It lead me to believe he was lacking in knowledge. RBAs have what ever you build them for, people tend to build them to their personal preference. I was comfortable with sub ohm, I just prefer the vapor to dissipate fairly quickly and only need a thick cloud. If I chuck dense clouds the office doesn't clear up fast enough or if I am at home it obscures the TV :p I also can not tell the difference in flavor and it seemed to me that the atty gunked up faster at lower resistances.

Just my personal preference though. I will probably sub ohm again at some point, like I said I like to tinker.

I appreciate the help clearing that up. The thread I saw had several people stating that the PV was not suitable for RBAs, perhaps I missed some context.
Obviously price does not always = better. But out of curiosity, is there a mod more expensive/better than the provari?

There are many mods that cost more than the provari, especially in the mech category (a Caravela).
But back to topic question, if you want a mod that can handle lower resistances, somewhat durable and that's not a mech since you are just starting RBAs... You should look at DNA20 devices such as the Opus D.

Lets put cost into perspective, where you live a Provari is equal in cost to two cartons of cigarettes.

I misspoke in the op. The thread I was reading stated that you could not use RBAs that are using lower ohm coils.
I was unsure as to why - or what I would lose from upping the resistance?
