This mod is useful, extremely easy to do, takes just one minute and costs nothing at all ! No special tools or shopping required. Easily reversible.
It solves the problem of not being able to see the LED light at the end of the battery when vaping. Being able to see the light helps us know when the atomiser is on (among other things) and arguably adds to the plasurable experience of vaping, along with the vapor. The mod makes the light much brighter too. Don't panic - no electrical wiring or soldering involved
Some background: I started out with a standard white 901 which I sanded to a brushed platinum look. I then used a black permanent marker to change the orange cartridge to black (this really works well). I wanted a cool gadget look rather than a cigarette look, and the mod described here adds to that - keeping the fun and usefulness of the light but reduces the cigarette-like aspect of it.
