best mod?

hey guys, im wondering what the best mod out these is. i ordered the glv-3 waitting on it to get built. well im the mean time i would like to grab another that i can use in the meantime. i have looked at the roughstack v2s and lavas things like that. currently ive been using a ego 3.7v direct dripping but would like to move to vv or something like that. the glv i ordered was the 5v but would like to try something in a vv 3.7-7.2 volts. any ideas? ive been vaping for around 5 months, and its just time to upgrade.

Matt, That is a question many ask... the truth is there is a plethora of good VV's out there, I think its hard to pin point which one is the best, I think it is in part, a matter of taste. Having said that, from my limited knowledge, i'd say look into getting a Provari, they seem to be the best vv tube mod out there IMO. Welcome to ECF BTW!

Tough question to answer. It depends what you're looking for. Appearance, features, tube, box, price, feeder system, etc. There are some very nice, inexpensive, plastic VV boxes available. Features are limited, but they do the job. At the high end, there are Darwins and Provaris, which are full featured, but pricey. Personally, I like Provaris. They are full featured, built solid, reliable, but also relatively expensive.

Best Mod? There are some high end stuff(ProVari, GG, Darwin, Reo, etc..) but cost some $$$. They all have their following. But like Rule62 said above, I would agree it's personal preference. What one person thinks is good or best, other might have a different feelings about it. Personally, I would say the best Mod out there is the one that got you off the analogs! Everything else is just, well wants. What people want. Every person wants a different thing. What I might consider best/what I want in a PV is probably different from you. But long as it gets you off the analog, it did its job.

As others have said, it all depends what you want.

I can afford any mods I want, and this is what I have and why...
--My main vapes are Chucks (with 5v Madvapes batteries) because I like the customization
--My secondary vape is my Mini Reo for when I will be out and about all day

But there are various factors that led me to these choices...
--I love sports, and my San Diego sports teams
--I am a dedicated dripper and will never, ever use a cartomizer no matter what
--I am not a heavy vaper so the 600mah 5v batteries last me all day
--I have found the atomizer and juices that I like and so I don't need to vary the voltage

If any of the factors stated above are different for you, then what you will want might be just as different.
In other words, nobody can tell you what will be the best for you other than you.

The best thing you can do is make a list of what you want out of a smokefreE-cigarette.
And then post the list and people can help you find what meets those requirements.

I just got my Provari yesterday. Took 2 days from order to mailbox. Dont know how i quit cigs without it. I recommend cartridges. Dripping is not much fun. Its messy, a lot of work, and the metal on the 510 Atomizer gets pretty hot at just 4 volts. The darwin is out of stock.

@donesmokin: I love that gooseneck! And I second the question - why regulating is better? I am certainly not an electronics engineer, but I know even regulators come in different flavors - some waste energy and get hot, others do not. And I'm really curious about the pulse width modulation technology - see the SVR, but also some cheaper mods. That seems to make a lot of sense.

Everyone who has a Provari or Darwin seems to like it. With that said, it is tough to beat a REO.

It's not that tough if you combine a Reo with a Buzz in one. A VV Woodvil is "coming soon" according to the site, and I'm guessing Reos are to follow. And the circuitry is supposedly the same as in Buzz (or at least made by the same guy). I will really be hard pressed not to try the VV Reo when it comes out

i have an icon and a prodigy. i was thinking about vv, but i wanted my mod to be bullet proof. you can very the hit by buying cartos or atties w/ different ohms. im liking 1.5 to 2 ohm on 3.7v.

You will not find a better built PV than the 5 volt GLV. I think you made an excellent choice. Plus you moved up to a warmer vaping model. I now use a variable watt Darwin and love the build quality and all the features, especially the consistency that can't be topped with the use of regulated boost circuit technology. But I could vape on a 5 volt GLV and be quite satisfied, also. You definitely got one of the very best "mods" on the market. It just doesn't have some of the higher end features.

You lose the consistency by trying to vary the hit this way instead of using a power regulated PV. The minute you start vaping on any carto or atty, it starts to deteriorate and the resistence will change. Plus, as the batteries drain, the performance suffers, also.
