Why not try variable voltage? This way, if you didn't like 6V, your PV wouldn't be a total waste. The ProVari by provape.com and the Buzz by notcigs.com are excellent PV's.

If you want straight 6V and nothing else, puresmoker.com has the Prodigy V3.1. Can be used with either 1 3.7v battery or 2 3.0v batteries. They sell the batteries on their website.

I always felt that at 6 volt you kind of lose the flavour of the juice by burning it too hot.

I always preferred a 5 V

So as hairball said it is better you get a VV so that you find your sweet spot.

Get a VV it's much easier in the long run. With fixed voltage you have to get the right ohm atty to hit the sweet spot your looking for, with VV it doesn't matter, Plus if you find your fav vape isn't at what a fixed battery can give you, just dial it in.

If you don't get a VV than a mod that takes a 18650 for 3.7v or a couple 3.0's for 6v - example Precise P18

A Maxi Roughstack at Madvapes is an inexpensive entry to mods. Depending on battery configuration, you can go 3.7V, 6V or 7.4V. It's $45.00.
Then you'll need batteries and whatever you choose to run on it. I like the dual coil 510 cartos at 6V with a drip tip myself.
Everyone's tastes vary. Definitely get a 18650 battery for 3.7V.
Oh...you will want a battery charger and juice as well.
