I just started dripping on my 510 because I really hate dealing with the cartridges (even with the LTB mod I have issues with always refilling, flooding, etc).

I was wondering if there is a better model to use for dripping? So far its been good, and I have a 901 (but I hate the fact the battery cuts me off after a few seconds, even though I have a manual battery).

I was thinking of getting a mod. Would love to be able to go all day without changing batteries, but then I wondered if there was one out there that made dripping easier (maybe a little hole in the top of the atty of something).

Last question is, will dripping all the time destroy my attys quicker?

Sounds like your 510 battery is bad.

You could get a Chuck (3.7v/4.2v) for your 510 and get some adapters (510 to 901 and 510 to 801). Then you could use all your atty. Best dripping is the penstyle low bridge attys. Consider the 302 atomizers (penstyle) which are low bridge, and perfect for dripping!! They're made by both Joye and Boge.

Super-T has the brass tip to replace carts and drip through! I have one for my 510 (b-day present from a vaping buddy). Pretty nifty. I'd like to try one for the penstyles too.

Hellen beat me to it. I switch between dripping and cartridges on a couple devices and dripping is just as easy on any of them (except my 601 pipe) but the T-Tip solved my frustration with dripping. The plastic tips always end up getting too loose and falling out. I also used to get a lot of juice in my mouth when using plastic whistle tips on my 901 attys. I don't have either problem with the brass tip.

This sounds like a job for Carlos' Vapy Award Winning Juice Box! :)

Or if you don't want to wait at least 6 weeks for that, you could have an Xhaler at your door from the Vapy Award Winning Nhaler in a couple days (Mine was delivered 2500 miles in less than 80 hours after ordering, YMMV) that uses brass tips that seal the atty from the batty which can be quite helpful for dripping. You also get the widest selection of operating voltages, can switch between 6V and 5V on the fly, there's no cutoff so you have to be careful to not burn out your atomizers, and one set of batteries lasts me all day.

I'm digging the use of this "Vapy Award Winning" prefix. Maybe the Vapy Award Winning DonDaBoomVape can chime in with his opinion.

I was thinking about the last part of the question and I actually think dripping may extend your atty life. I don't have anything to back that up but if the assumption that a dry atty reduces it's life is true, then I would think dripping would keep it more moist and, as a result, extend it's life. How's that for totally unfounded speculation.

What about dipping? I thought I'd read that there was an atty with a bridge that extends out of the atomizer so you could just dab it in a contact lens case filled with e-juice and vape away. Am I mis-remembering again?

Hey Thulium,

That is the M401. It is easier to dip than drip on it. :D

Yes the bridge extends out of the atomizer. Of course, it is one of the old school e-cigs. I do still have mine though!

I have not used poly fill carts in a very long time!

I drip on my Prodigy V1, Protege, PS PT, Xhaler & soon to be here Prodigy V2. I am so used to doing it that it does not bother me much. All great products too! :)

I would LOVE to use cartomizers, however, I have not liked the draw or the taste. I just filled some blank ones with my own juice and they still don't taste as good as the juice I put in them. :( They had a soapy aftertaste

These were brand new blank cartomizers and they were never washed out or anything. They would be soooo great to use when driving!!!

I will keep trying! ;)

You rang?

Carlos has got to take that brilliant atomizer of his and stick it on something more tubular in shape, e.g., Chuck or XHaler (or a Super-Six with a 50% discount code:D) ... anything that will not give me carpal tunnel OR join forces with tinear to produce the TinLos (or CarEar, depending on the coin toss) Juice mAhmba.

You and me both, kid! Only I call it an undertaste (picked that up from the Rosemary's Baby movie; never heard it before or since).

But have you tried GreenCig carts? They're more expensive, but worth it! No throat hit (but often I don't want TH); just smooth flavor and fantastic vapor (especially with the Tasty Vapor juice I drip in).

So is it considered "old school" because something better came along, or is it just that something new came along? How does it compare to the 510/801/901/KR8/GC lineup?

I think it may be because it has the smallest cartridge. But if you're dipping/dripping that wouldn't matter.

I have VK with a 901 adapter and an m401 v2 that can also use a 510 atty with an adapter i have.

I will say this...for me, nothing vapes as well as the 401.
That may be because I'm using the 510 atty with an adapter on the 401 battery but I don't think so.
I'm sure others will disagree but that's how I see it.
