Quitting MTL (50/50 - 12mg nic) for now.

I'm doing M only. Not mouth and nose. Just inhaling into mouth and then exhaling out of mouth.

I hear that nictoine can be absorbed by the mouth, great. However, I don't feel the effect of 12mg. Think I should up it? I'll try 18mg or 24. Which is more effective for mouth: PG or VG? Or doesn't matter?

I'm running low on nictoine base so don't want it to go to waste. Thanks!

That is a hard question to answer. I am doing M to N (because I am sick and don't want vapor in my lungs.) I haven't noticed any nic issues other than the conditioned desire to inhale.

How long are you holding it in your mouth? Has your vaping decreased/increased etc?

If you are rationing your base, maybe you want to increase it a bit and see if it makes a difference. If it doesn't, then you can always dilute it down to something lower, right?

Could be psychological or not. Yes the mouth can absorb vape, but the sinus cavity is a lot bigger etc. I would personally try upping it if nothing else is helping.

Just my 02.

IMO, there IS no best nicotine strength to vape that way, nor any difference in PG/VG ratio for that method. It all depends on the individual and their needs to satisfy the craving, the PG/VG ratio their set-up works best with, etc.

I've been vaping that way since I started vaping in Nov. 2013. I don't inhale the vapor into my lungs. 95% of the time I inhale into my mouth, hold it a second or so, then exhale from my mouth only. Maybe 5% of the time I'll exhale some through my nose, too.

I get the nicotine I need to satisfy me that way, even though I vape just 7mg/mL DIY eliquids. Have had no problems at all with my body absorbing it.

Maybe you just need to hold the vapor in your mouth a second or so longer? I don't personally know of anyone who has switched to that style of vaping and had to increase their nic mg. But, everyone is different as far as what it takes to satsify his/her nic craving, and their body's ability to absorb the nic that way. I'd say hang in there and make minor adjustments in the nic mg a little at a time to see how it goes...instead of making huge changes in it all at once.

Some call it MTE--mouth to exhale. I recently started doing it, but not exclusively. I still feel the need to inhale, just not every hit. It seems to work very well for me. If you're not inhaling, you can build up a lot of vapor in your mouth, and cycle it through quickly. If anything, I might do it at a lower nic level.

Thanks for the replies!

I've made a 10ml test that contains 24mg. Hold vapor in mouth for a few seconds then exhale, but it's still hard to tell if my body gets the nic it needs. I've been doing this process 5 times or so every hour since I made this thread. I feel the same as before. No urge for nic, so it's working. But my mind is saying NO IT'S NOT WORKING! Probably because I still want to inhale into lungs so bad. Damn, I miss it.

You're right. It's all psychological. Crazy stuff
