I never get throat hit from zero nicotine. Some people say they get it.. but I require 18+ mg to get decent throat hit. 24mg is what I prefer.

Someone said they get throat hit when adding menthol crystals. You will get varied responses from this question. Many people will say throat hit is related to nic content.

Good luck

I agree on higher nic level providing better throat hit but there is a thread in the DYI liquid forum on ways to get hit with no nic. The device you use also makes a difference. The manual switched devices provide more consistent throat hit from my experience and many others on this forum.

Well I just got this reply from JC:

Good evening Sarah!

Thanks so much for the email. That’s a great question we get asked a lot. What produces the throat hit is indeed the nicotine content, zero nicotine isn’t going to have nearly the amount of throat hit a 24mg content of nicotine will have. Flavor has nothing to do with throat hit. We hope this information helps, please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks Sarah!

Hoonie, I was sorry to hear this, too, because my plan is to eventually get off the nicotine altogether by using the 0 nic juice, but from reading here I kind of suspected the throat hit wouldn't be good with 0 nicotine.

Haven't got my first ecig yet (maybe tomorrow I hope!), but I'm planning to try a strong peppermint flavor. Even though they say the flavoring isn't want produces the throat hit, I'm thinking maybe just the "cooling" sensation of the peppermint flavor will produce some sort of throat sensation, kinda like chewing really strong peppermint gum. Problem is, I don't smoke menthols! :(

Have you tried any flavors or just the tobacco 0 nic?
