I find that 901 are, in general, the same, as they are made by one or two makers - from what i surmise.
I vape hard and heavy all day and night, and i'd go through one a week (avg). Some make them last for months, but i don't know their vaping style, and some regularly clean their attys. So this is pretty avg. across the board on all atomizers. They are "disposable" which is why many feel that atomizers are the weakest link in the vape chain.
Until i found bulk ordering i was in a pickle.. ranting about the cost and how atomizers needed to be improved, but if you find your PV of choice, and stop buying every new thing that comes along, this is where you just compare the price to what it used to cost to smoke cigs.
IMO 901 attys combine the best of both worlds between the 510 and 801... light but detectable air draw, lots of vapor, and great taste. You just have to learn how much to feed them and which voltage works best to which resistance.
I like to use SR with my Provari, Sgt Army bottom feed VV, and Buzz Pro... all VV, so that's 3.0 Ohms ... at anywhere from 3.7 to 4.5 volts.
If i were limited to a 3.7 PV, i'd get the LRs.
I don't think it's a "hit and miss"... you may get 1 out of say 25 or 30 attys that are DOA, so if you know what to expect, they are reliable.
Thanks ukeman!
Do you find any particular model to be more reliable?
Or are they more like a hit and miss thing?
And btw, Vaporking do carry LR 901 atty.
