For flavoring I like Bull City Flavors. Good prices and fast service. Here is a blueberry candy flavor

Blueberry Candy-TFA

Check out the DIY section for recipes because just having that flavor probably won't give you the results you want.

E-Liquid Recipes

Also I highly recommend mixing by weight. Makes DIYing simple.

Mixing By Weight: Basics 101

I found a blueberry candy recipe that takes about 6 ingredients. If you have a premium brand flavor you like chances are you can google the recipe on the web.

I think the best place to order from and see if DIY is for you IMO is wizard labs. They have everything at decent prices. Not the best but decent. And small cheap flavor sizes. I like mixing by weight but a few syringes will get you buy. A 10ml and 5 one ml syringes will get you by to start. Couple 14 gauge blunt tips and a couple 20 gauge tips will work. I much prefer weight though it is much quicker for me, just my preference.

Weight is much easier. I can make a 100ml batch in about a minute, only cleanup is rinsing the scale plate and the bottle.

10 grams .7% nic (50/50)
10 grams flavor (scale reads 20)
fill to 100 with VG.

Take scale plate and bottle to sink, rinse, dry and I'm done.

I make the .7 nic by the same process......

10% nic, 7 grams
90% 50/50 PG/VG 93 grams

And honestly, it doesn't matter if you miss it by a gram or two.

I don't use funnels, I just pour the stuff in there. Very little misses the bottle. Just enough to rinse off...

I never dealt with volume mixing, but it was obvious that mixing by weight was superior. I find using the scale a great way to get things exact and as other posters have said, the only thing you need to wash is the droppers and pipettes you use to drop the ingredients in the bottles. For bottles I like Boston Round clear glass bottles. I like to see what's in the bottle and be able to judge the color changes as they steep.

This is the video that started me mixing by weight with scales. As you can see in the video there's almost nothing to wash after mixing a bottle.

I ordered my supplies originally from www.myfreedomsmokes.com. They have a good selection of everything you need, but shop around and compare selection and price. You'll need a couple of clear catsup type squeeze bottles for PG and VG. I use 100mg nic in a dropper bottle and use the dropper to add nic to the bottle on the scale. Those are available at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Flavors can be added right from the original bottle if they come in plastic squeeze bottles.

You're in Lakeland, FL and Wizard Labs is in Altamonte Springs. I'm only about 15 miles from you, and WL is who I order 95% of my flavorings from. I also ordered my initial DIY stuff from them, to see if I even liked DIY before buying in larger quantities.

Their customer service is great, prices are low, packaging for shipment is superb, etc. Your order will also get to you quicker since they're so close. Or, if you're going to be in that area...you can even order online ahead of time, and pick it up at their location. It's an amazing place and you might want to check it out!

Well, IMO, that's a personal opinion/preference, not a fact. And you've never even tried by volume...? Those of us who mix by volume prefer it and find it very easy. Why not just inform newbies about both methods, and let them make a personal choice...as we all have?

As for less supplies needed...I use a couple of syringes and 2-3 blunt needle tips, and I mix directly into my eliquid bottles. Don't need to buy a scale, nor probably a small weight set for calibration. (By the way, I used to sell on eBay and ship packages daily...lots of really lightweight things. So I already have a scale with the capabilites necessary, if I wanted to measure by weight. So for me, it's not even a question about expense, but just my choice to measure by volume!)

Cleanup is giving the syringes & needle tips a run through some soapy hot tap water & rinsing. Don't see much difference in that than washing your droppers and pipettes.

I think personal preference is one of the best things about DIY. Not everyone HAS to use the same methods, ingredients, supplies, same companies for ingredients and supplies, etc. to end up with the same result = great tasting eliquids!

I agree that everyone has a choice. That choice is personal. We can both give our own reviews and let people choose which to adopt. I liked mixing by weight so much that I never found it necessary to try mixing by volume.

I read the instructions for both methods and decided that a scale was the way I wanted to go. Nothing to wash (except the mixing bottles being recycled) when mixing by weight was the clincher for me.

I've never mixed by volume after reading descriptions of each method. Here's a chance for you to explain the process of mixing by volume so that people can decide. I think that would be good for all new DIY members to hear. You are right. They need to hear about both processes to decide which to try.

I'm looking to get into making my own juice. I'm wanting to see who has the best ingredients and cheapest prices. I'm into fruit flavors and would love to find a candied blueberry flavoring. Any feedback will be appreciated.
"best ingredients and cheapest prices." All your questions are subjective. There are some inexpensive flavors like menthol
which just about everyone makes. Often times, menthol from the cheapest vendor is indistinguishable from the "best/ non cheapest" ingredient vendor.
Your task will be to find the best taste of a flavor you enjoy at the your deemed "cheapest" vendor. Nearly all vendors of fruit flavors have real deals in the cheapest flavor categories.

No need to use droppers or pipettes either. I have a bunch gathering dust from the days when I thought I needed them. All my liquids have dripper tips on them. I just tare.....drip.........tare........drip.....etc. I don't need so much as a kleenex for cleaning up.

I appreciate the info guys! I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a DIY kit. Comes with a scale (LB501). I can use it for more than just mixing (we buy large quantities of meat and I hunt hog and deer so having the scale I can use it for weighing out portions of meat for meals). I've watch some YouTube vids and I think mixing by weight is going to be the easiest with the least amount of cleanup as you all have mentioned. I've been going through some recipes and it's easy to get info overload! Again everyone, thanks for your feedback!

@JCinFLA what city are you in?

Well, I'm actually not out of town, as in gone on a trip. When I said "I'm out of town"..I meant I don't live actually IN Winter Haven, though my mailing addy is WH. :)

Would be happy to show you some things about DIY, though remember...I measure by volume! Doesn't mean I couldn't show you by weight though, since it's not difficult either.

Being a frugal vaper, I decided to bypass the kits.

Start out with some single flavor recipes or ones that are easy. I went with mixing by weight to keep it simple.

Look at Bull City Flavors for concentrates, MFS for nic and glass containers (20% off DIY going on right now); though, I use Vapers Tek for nic because I wanted the best.

This video is where I made the jump. I even bought the exact scale.

For those that haven't bought from them before, or from anywhere maybe...that 10lb. jug is a gallon jug. Their S/H is very reasonable, too, because from them in OH to me in FL, shipping a gallon of VG + a gallon of PG usually costs $12.59 S/H.

I would think a beginner would be better advised to make small batches, for which a scale is of questionable usefulness. I can whip up 100 ml in ... actually I've never made 100 ml at a time. The one time I tried 60 ml it came out terrible. Mainly I do 10 or 25 (shake room), and while a scale would be good for measuring base, a needleless 30 mL syringe is fine. Flavors are always less than 1 ml and often I measure in drops. Some flavors need predilution because I need less than 1 drop.

Even at a max. 30 ml at a time, I've made about 2/3 a gallon total!
