I dont want to hijack this thread but I dont think this question warrants a whole new one.
I am also now starting to get interested in RBAs. I thought it was crazy when I went from a V2 to an ego mega and now Im running with a Vamo.
Now Im researching RBAs and it seems as though with a regulated device I need to go out and purchase a blow torch to oxidize?
Im laughing as I type the word blow torch. Is that really the process? All you guys who do this have freaking blow torches at your desk?

Gas range in the kitchen I use....with needle nose pliers in my grasp

No, not a "blow torch"!!! :D A small, butane torch... like a cigar lighter. Having a solid, blue flame, not having to hold down a button to keep it lit, no plastic bits near the flame to melt when in extended use... and refillable with butane. About $5 at most hardware stores.

Not trying to thread jack bit the IGO-L only for dripping? What about the A7?

I like the A7 too. And while I have yet to rebuild it the Vision Eternity is what I've been dripping with for the last couple of days. Very nice, like an improved A7 (still has the bottom air feeder tube) and holds at least 20+ drops with one of the factory wicks.

"Not a RBA" or Not 'just' a RBA?

Well... this is true. I think RBA originally stood for "Re Buildable Atomizer" which technically includes "RDA"s as well. Since the popularity of both have been on the rise I've tried hard to follow Smoktech's lead and use "RDA" to represent drippers and "RBA" to represent anything that is rebuildable *with a tank* (genesis style).

Technically things like a Terminator tank is also an RBA although not a Genesis style. The term RBA has become a little abused to refer to Genesis style tanks since they are the most popular RBA type. Just like how "mod" is now used to refer to big variable power devices even though some of them cannot and should not be modified at all.

I can see none.

Mannnnnnny are gonna come here soon and talk about the build quality of this piece and that piece and material quality difference... I say its all fluff. Its like buying a cake: i just want the cake, you can keep the box made of gold and silk wrappers to yourself, i aint coughing up another $100 for something that has no bearing on my enjoyment of the product i set out to buy in the first place.

+1 on the octopus for getting started with rebuildables. Make sure you have an ohms meter to test prior to trying to fire

You can actually find a small butane torch at the major hardware stores that also has a soldering tip that works well enough in a pinch (wouldn't recommend it for larger projects)

Does anyone have any thoughts on AGA vs a Zen atty? is the price difference just due to china vs US made or are there major design differences besides aesthetics ?

I hunted around the forums with the same question and the general consensus is that the quality of the vape is totally dependent on the quality of your coil. Properly set up the AGA-T2 and ZAP should provide an identical vaping experience (although the ZAP has been described as decidedly more airy than the AGA-T2).

The fact that you can remove the tank on the ZAP without removing your wick and coil is a plus but for what it's worth I went with the AGA-T2. In fact, I just ordered another along with an RSST and IGO-L today from Discount Vapor.

Someday I will likely purchase the ZAP...just not today.

I would go with the Smoktech RSST...it received fair reviews (check out PBusardo's reviews on youtube) , its affordable, and the style will be compatible to most higher end mods if you decide to spend the extra bucks in the future. Style wise, I personally think it looks better compared to the other lower end RBA's...but that's all subjective.

I looked at the RSST but i dont really like the white tank, im kinda leaning towards the UD AGI, I'd rather have a pyrex tank. I watched a video review recently on youtube where a guy replaced the centerpost spring with a clearomizer airtube to resolve a voltage drop issue. It doesn't look too difficult to set up plus the ability to set it up as a drip chamber is a plus.
