I'm currently looking at getting a rda and the choices that are available is causing me to hover between the pre-order pages.

Would appreciate if owners of the following rda could share their opinions.

Looking at the following RDAs (not in order of preference)

1. Yaeliq rda
2. Copper Quasar
3. Zenith V2
4. Magma
5. Tobh's Atty V2

Not seeking for a fog machine. Primary concern is flavor, no leakage and solid built.

Thanks in advance,
mT

I checked around, and watched a lot of reviews before I made my first RDA purchase a month ago. I picked up the Atomic, I heard nothing but great things so decided to give it a try. I dont regret it at all! I heard this atomizer gives the best flavor, mainly due to it having a smaller deck than most other RDA's, giving it a more concentrated vape. I can say, I get more flavor from this than anything else I've ever tried.

A lot of this is subjective...its like asking "who makes the best wine?"
A lot has to do with how well you build your coils, what type of wick you use, what material you use for the wick, coil material, how many Ωs you make the coil, power you vape at, etc, etc, etc.

Best rule of thumb for an RDA is to get one that has a large enough deck (and well) to hold a decent amount of juice without flooding (at least ten drops if possible), has large enough screw-heads to work with (nothing is more frustrating than an RDA with tee-tiny screws when you are trying to set up a new coil), and has the smallest chamber you can get away with. An adjustable air-hole is a bonus as well. There are countless different designs out there...just find one that works for you.

My personal favorite is the Storm-A by Orieco....has all of the features I like.

Good luck.....

Thanks for all the comments.

Just watched Todd's and Riptripper's reviews.

Todd thinks that this is the best flavor atty out there, whereas Rip says it doesn't live up to the hype.
Then again I do know that these are all subjective.

Is it possible to build horizontal coil rather than a vertical coil on the Origen? Secondly, would a single coil setup work as well or dual coil brings out the best flavor?

I have tried horizontal dual coils and I prefer dual verticals @ 0.5 to 0.6 ohms. I've never tried a single coil so I can't comment on that.

you can build horizontal/vertical/single coils no problem. in fact, i have a single horizontal coil in my origen right now.

i don't notice a difference in flavor between my single and dual setups, but the single does use less juice.

and in my opinion, rip was pretty stupid in his origen review. crappy build in his and didn't think of building a horizontal coil. instead he complains that you can't build horizontal coils in it lol.

Yeah, thought that was weird since I've read its possible to build it horizontally.

That's exactly how I build as well. I tried horizontally as my first build but it didn't wick that well so I immediately switched to vertical and didn't have a reason to switch back. A lot of people have success with horizontal builds, I just never put any time into getting it right.

I've had the Zenith for a few days now and i can't say that the flavor is better, just different. I've been vaping custard type (Bryce's vanilla pudding Mmmmm) juices lately and get more of a creamy-ness in the Origen and more of a sweet flavor in the Zenith. The Zenith is also a hot vape since the top cap doesn't absorb as much of the heat and just lets it pass through.

Overall I still prefer the Origen.

another place that has the Origen in stock Origen Dripper V2

i have zenith v2, quasar, and the magma. personally the zeniths flavor is nowhere near the flavor of the quasar or the magma. out of all the builds i have put in the zenith it just blows clouds... thats about all. you can throw the most basic plain jane build in the quasar and it will out perform the zenith. now the next point, good luck finding a quasar or a zenith. you can find the others pretty easy, just watch facebook and pop in and out of shops daily. i found my quasar by absolute luck and i wish i could get another one in brass. the zenith is so freakin popular right now, rip trippers does seem to make it difficult to get things i will admit. ive noticed as soon as he says something poof its gone like a magic trick. i would try the magma out, it puts of some amazing flavor and it is a very interesting piece.

Thanks for all the honest comments.

I've decided to go ahead with the order for a Quasar pre-order. I've also grabbed a Yaeliq as a spare.

Would be interesting to test and finally tell the difference between bottom drawn air intake vs side drawn.

So...what's the update?

I've tried: quasar, Helios. I own: Zenith V1 & V2, TOBH, Origen V2, Raiju, Atomic. List does not include gennies or kayfun/kayfunesques.

Notice I own two Zeniths?

Hands down the best. I've never clipped wires while tightening the posts, I've never had the screws come loose during use and to top it off - its the easiest to build on and the flavor ranks above every dripper I've tried or owned. However, I do not recommend using it in single coil. Dual is the way to go. I like my other dripper's but the Zenith is just so simply excellent. I wish the top cap looked cooler though :/

I have tried all of those and i thought the Origen was the king of flavor until i found a little gem that isn't talked about that much.

The Viking RDA. Awesome RDA and beats the Origen ( which i thought had the best flavor out of all of them )

The Viking is built almost like the Yaeliq. I never owned a Yaeliq so i am not 100% but they seem to share the same idea.
