The Provari has a lower resistance limit (1.2Ω+/-) and maximum current output (V2 = 3.5a). As long as you keep your resistance at or above those two values, you'll be fine.
Any 510 rda will fit... so now it's down to personal tastes. My personal tastes prefer "deep well" DC drippers like the Loki Labs Odin, Norbert Origen V2 and iHybrid Veritas.

I recently aquired an APO clone. My first RDA. I had been using KFL+'s for a while and building Kanger heads before that. I chose the APO for my first one because I could start off with a single coil, then move into duel coil, and then even progress to more "exotic" builds if I choose later. The well is almost non existent, so dripping more often is required, and it can be prone to leaking if over dripped. The airflow ring is super tight, and I mean super tight. It will work itself in and become easier as the two o-rings wear some. I have my sights set on a Magma now though. Much deeper well, same awesome airflow, and pretty easy to build for from a novice standpoint. I use primarily a Sigellei 20 watt, but also use an iTazte VTR V1 modified to accept a KF. I flop between VTC5 and Efest V1 18650 batteries. I also tend to keep my builds on the APO about 1 - 1.4 OHM. I am however doing a single twisted 28 awg kanthal build for it today to about .9 ohm.

I only have a few super cheap RDA's that I'm using on my e-lvt (1.4om min) and of those the one I keep using is the SMOK Catapillar, big deck is easy to fit all those wraps I need, hits nice, just wish I could set it to have airflow only on one side without a little putty. Thinking about an Atomic clone next for that reason.

Regardless of which dripper you decide to go with my only advice would be to research others peoples experience with the fit on their Provaris (if that is important to you).
I tend to be a little OCD about the atomizers not sitting flush and leaving a gap. Very few that I have tried on my provari have sat flush and many leave a sizeable gap...regardless of which ring you use (Provari, Tatroe, Loki). In fact a have small collection of rings for that reason and many times none fixed the issue.

The provari has a low resistance limit. We're you looking for another regulated mod to build on? The newer regulated mods allow builds as low as sub ohm .2 but if you are sticking with your provari you will always have to make sure your builds are above 1.2 ohms because I believe 1.2 is as low as the provari allows. Because of the build restrictions you might consider building on something like a kayfun. The kayfun is a good tank to learn to build on and it's a single coil. It produces great flavor and decent vapor. A lot of rdas are dual coil and really geared to be ran lower than a 1.2 for optimum performance . But the kayfun is better for a higher resistance vape. Although it can be built lower resistance it really runs at optimum performance at a higher ohm. So in my opinion I think the kayfun would be a good start for you. I love my kayfuns . They are great tanks for flavor and won't disapoint. Knowing you have restrictions for low resistance vaping I would get something that runs optimal at a higher resistance like the kayfun. I really hope this helps. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the kayfun and it's flavor. Once you taste it. It's really a great atomizer. Best wishes
