Okay, so hopefully this topic is appropriate for this forum. Rather than requesting a review on a product, I'm looking for reviews on reviewers. Specifically, who is worth subscribing to on youtube? For example, pbusardo and GrimmGreen are two that have lots of well-done and entertaining reviews (although I cringe every time I hear the word "toot"). Who else is worth checking out?

I tend to go the other direction with the Strong Law of Large Numbers.

Individual reviewers can by ok. But many have vested interests in the products they review. Or are not looking for the same things I am looking for in an e-cig product. Also. Sometimes reviewers review hardware that is not the final release of the product.

If I see that 75 or 80 percent of the members here like a product, I consider getting it for myself.

You can always find someone that likes something. And you can Always find people who don’t. But if the Majority like it than chances are I will to and that’s the best I can hope for.

I completely understand what you're saying and I think we're actually on the same page. The reason I'm asking is so that I can have a broader stable of reviewers that I keep up with. That combined with all the reading I do here and elsewhere helps to provide a pretty well-rounded perspective.

There's just something nice about watching reviewers who really know what they're doing when it comes to putting together a helpful review (even if you don't agree with them). It gets tiring sorting through all the crappy reviews where they spend half the time goofing off and/or provide nothing really helpful.

I'm not going to be much help as you've already named the two reviewers I watch, but Phil Busardo is the one I watch most. He's never steered me wrong yet on flavor/products/suppliers.

I also understand how frustrating it is to watch YouTube videos done by less professional type reviewers.

Bumping this up for more answers for goodtimes.

I hear you.

Something that I have learned being a member here for a while is that the review is only as good as the reviewer.

I saw a review once for what most consider to be a POS product. The reviewer gave it a 5 Star review. I asked them how long they had been using e-Cigs and how many different type they had used.

They told me they had been vaping about 10 days and that this was their first pice of hardware/e-Liquid. So the review wasn't dishonest. It just wasn't a very informed review. Reviews are a hard thing to trust or even gleen info out of sometimes.

BTW - I put absolutely no merit in e-Liquid Flavor reviews unless Every review says the e-Liquid is bad. Taste is way to subjective.

I'm with you, beckah54. I've seen many reviews that were overly long with too much vapor 'blown in my face.' I suppose that gives me a hint of what non-smokers may have felt.

I will add to this short list, GeekGirlVaper. She only has a few reviews so far, but they are very informative and well done. Oh, and FieldofVaper, if he doesn't like something you know it :)

Awesome, thanks! I'll check 'em out...

In watching various reviews I've realized I have some pet peeves that drive me absolutely nuts! For instance, it bugs me when people do weird stuff while they're taking a drag on their PV. They nod their head and point at the PV or make expressions that are meant to communicate, "Mmm, this is good!" or whatever. Or they will even make noises like, "Mmm hmm!" It just drives me nuts for some reason! :) Another one is when they feel like they have to blow vapor out of every orifice in their body (or so it seems), sometimes even switching back and forth from mouth to nose multiple times while shaking or nodding their head. I understand that your sense of smell has a lot to do with taste and all that, but some people WAY over do it and it just ends up looking ridiculous. Oh well, to each his own... (and yeah, I'm probably being overly critical ;))

Hear, hear ... for not ignoring the female reviewers. GeekGirlVaper is excellent. Her ECF screen name is mergryphon. [I keep wanting to say Merv Griffin.:D Remember him?] Another is SteelJan.

My current favorite is pbusardo, for all the reasons previously stated. I've always enjoyed GrimmGreen ... for his engaging personality more than for depth, detail, or accuracy. igetcha (Scott Bonner) shows you the product effectively, but I don't get a very good sense how he feels about it. I like Basilray's enthusiasm and energy level.

And don't forget reviewers who express themselves in text (and photos).;-)

Oh, don't worry, I haven't!

Thanks for all the great recommendations. I've managed to find quite a few good reviewers, both from recommendations here and my own searching, that I've subscribed to. I'll post a list here in a few minutes...

I like pbusardo reviews because it's funny, entertaining and he doesn't kiss .... to get freebies. I like hardware reviews and not juice reviews because to me you can never be sure what you will like when it comes to taste... that said I will watch anyone review crab juice and it never gets old haha

I think juice reviews are best done at vape meets. here try this. what do YOU think?

I really like smoke2vape. He's got a great personality, a reviewer who, even though he's been doing this for ages is still bumbling his way through the vaping world. He's both humorous and personal, usually only ever telling you how things went for him personally and his experiences with a device / juice.

I also quite like igetcha, he gets newer stuff pretty quick and whilst he does not always seem to really knock anything, he's a good lad! One of the few exceptions to this is his Rev V2.1 review. He really, really hated that thing and you can tell! His production quality is also prob the best around. He's also from good old Uk so I'm a bit biased!

Grimm is classic of course and he's always good for a personal touch on things too. He can at times take a while to get to the point, but then, looking at some of my own text based reviews, I think I'm pretty guilty of that too!

i have never based a purchase off of a review, and probably never will, but my favorites to watch are igetcha69 and basilray.

I agree with ejoker...igetcha69 and basilray are the two most complete reviewers I've seen.
They show you what is, what it does, and how to do it.

If the actual review doesn't start within 10 seconds I close it and move on. Some folks think they are Steven Spielberg and need to have a long intro filled with special effects. That's my pet peeve!!!! That being said, I like igetcha69 and pbusardo.

Oh yeah and I just LOVE it when I have to listen to God awful music during the review!
