It's too bad the vaping community doesn't have a eliquids review resource like pipe smokers do for all the thousands of pipe tobacco mixtures available: tobaccoreviews.com.

tobaccoreviews.com has been abuilding for about ten years now. All the reviews are by pipe smokers, and thus the quality of the reviews runs the gamut in quality, though the moderators do make an effort to cull misleading or slanderous reviews.

It might be a model for the moderators here to consider adding to ECF, even though it would be a massive task.

...I like hardware reviews and not juice reviews because to me you can never be sure what you will like when it comes to taste...
I know what you mean and I watch/read very few juice reviews for that reason. Also I see limited extra value in a video review of juice over a written review. Video hardware reviews have tremendous advantages over the written reviews, because you get to see the device (and its components) up close and personal and in action. About the only thing extra I get from a video juice review is the facial expression of the reviewer ... whether pbusardo vaping crab juice or GrimmGreen vaping a juice he loves.

The best juice reviews accurately describe the somewhat objective factors, e.g., flavor intensity, relative TH (at the same nicotine level on the same hardware), vapor (after specifying the proportion of VG). Subjective impressions are most useful as comparisons and/or if the reviewer comments on what other juices s/he likes. For example, if I say that Crystal Clear Vaping's Black-N-Mild reminds me of Halo's Torque 56, that helps you more than "I like it, but not as an all-day vape."

We do...it's called the ECF E-Liquid Reviews!

I think what mostlyclassics is talking about is an organized database with structured ratings and review factors such as is provided by tobaccoreviews.com.

Yep I make funny faces in my reviews. Why? Because someone pulling on an ecig for 5 seconds of dead air is boring and is annoying to me. I can't tell you how many times I've seen video with 10-15 seconds of dead air from nothing but someone pulling on an ecig. I don't like it so I figured I could do something better, so I did.

I love the fact that there are a lot of reviewers. I hate conformity. If everyone did the same thing it would be a total snore fest. Some people like different things. There are some specific people that annoy me, but I watch them anyway. Why? Because they might just have a suggestion that I didn't think about to help or change my ecig experience.

Hardware reviews are different than juice reviews. The one thing I like to talk about in my hardware reviews is durability and common every day use. What if I grab this tank by the drip tip? What if I throw this mod in my laptop bag? It kills me when people talk about how great a product is (yes even on this forum), and 3 days into use the entire thing falls apart on me, or videos that say 'this is a wonderful device except for all he juice all over my bag from the constant leaks. Just ignore all of the juice all over my hands.'

The fact is, I like to do my reviews. It helps me with the thinking process of determining where my sweet spot is. If my efforts assist with someone else's journey, then good for them, and I am glad to help. Most of the journey of ecigs is experienced based. If my experiences help just one person, then the effort was worth it.

I don't change any of my video reviews for other people. If they happen to like what I do, then great. If not, I really don't care much. Subscribe, comment, privately hate me when I show up in a you tube search. None of it really matters to me. I like doing the reviews. I've had people tell me they like them as well.

Yes. I do make goofy faces. I happen to vape that way all the time. ;) j/k

I wouldn't say I or anyone else is the 'best reviewer'. I don't even consider myself that good. I just want to put up some reviews in the hopes that someone somewhere may see my review and says 'wow that guy seems to have some good luck with this vaping stuff. Maybe I could quit smoking with this stuff' Just one person saying that would be with all my effort for every review.

That being said, I like dog and clay's reviews. Short and to the point and entertaining. I like GG and mainly vapor. I like anyone who shows up on my you tube search 'vaping, this week' ;)

Sexist!;-)

Lol! In my defense, I did forget to list TheVapeBabe as one of my subscriptions and I've since added GeekGirlVaper (thanks!).

If the actual review doesn't start within 10 seconds I close it and move on. Some folks think they are Steven Spielberg and need to have a long intro filled with special effects. That's my pet peeve!!!! That being said, I like igetcha69 and pbusardo.

Totally agree! That's one of the many reasons I like pbusardo's reviews. He takes what he's doing seriously while not taking himself too seriously. His intro is classic; it's about 2 seconds long and it makes me laugh every time ("Can I taste your juice!?"). It's a bit presumptuous to think that people want to see you show off your Final Cut Pro skills for 3 minutes before getting to the information they're looking for. IMO, as always.

That said, I still watch many of those reviews anyway, so make of that what you will...

Well, it's a start. But note that tobaccoreviews.com has

1. A specific form, including ratings on various aspects of the reviewed mixture, and one mixture per individual review.

2. Organization, whereby each review is findable by a) name of blend and b) name of maker.

Sadly, the E-Liquid Reviews is just a free-form jumble and very difficult to search using ECF's search function.

Just my opinion . . .
