I have both the original SD from Trog and 905 from MadVapes.
I like them both but I do agree that the 905 is not the same quality as the SD, but mine is working really good after about a month.
The SD I have works really well also.
The price difference can be an issue for some.

batteries: The 905 takes a 14500 900 mAh battery, the batteries don't come with the $39 package but are available on the Madvapes site, both in a package deal or he offers the charger I got plus the batteries separate. I got the multi charger as it charges some other batteries I have that I needed a charger for. The battery life is really good.
The button position on my SD in on the bottom and on the 905 it's on the side. I prefer the side button but that's just my preference based on some arthritis issues in some of my fingers.
Both units are really good IMO. They just have some differences that are a matter of personal choice. I use both of mine often and both are valued items in my collection.
