I'm new to the forum, but I've been vaping for about 2 years. For most of that time I've been using eGo 650mAh or the passthroughs with standard atomizers and cartridges. I recently switched to a eGo twist with a Kanger T3S clearomizer (mainly because a local shop sells them). I like not having to refill as often with the clearomizer, but I've learned that the T3S is not good for chain vaping which is what I tend to do. What should I be using so that I don't have to replace the coil every few days?

I chain on an Evod with up to 40% VG liquids and have yet to have issues with coil failure, wick burning, etc. This is on a Vamo at 8 watts, which is the sweet spot for the flavor I use, and probably hot enough to cause any coil/wick issues to become readily apparently in a few days time. YMMV but the Evods and Protanks seem to be the best tanks for any use, really, including chain vaping.

I chain vape. I cannot lie. I switch between two setups. When one gets hot I grab the other. Sometimes I have four set up so I can have different flavors and nicotine levels at hand. I have only replaced two heads in almost three months of vaping. I vape some pretty dark liquids at times as well. I clean my heads in isopropyl alcohol which is not recommended. I just haven't taken the time to go to a liquor store and grab some grain alcohol. (none drinking house here so nothing to grab from the cupboard!). I rinse the heads with regular water, let them dry and they are good to go. I tried just cleaning with hot water but it was no bueno. Wicks stayed very dark after soaking. With the isopropyl they will come out almost brand new looking. I think I will grab some everclear when I do errands tomorrow.

Good luck. I think it is a good idea to have spare heads on hand at all times, I just haven't had to use many of them. I have over 15 heads cause I was told they would need to be thrown out every week or so. I kept buying them when they were on sale. I may die before I use them all!

Put me in your will! :p Kidding..

As far as cleaning the things, everybody suggests alcohol, never used it yet, my Vivi Nova that I hit some real dark and thick Halo juices with cleaned up readily with nothing but a hot water bath, and these wicks were close to black, especially around the coils. Not tried the same treatment with the Evods but I plan on rebuilding them anyways rather than clean after a particularly harsh/nasty juice..might soak a spare/used head and see what happens in hot water.
