Okay guys, I got my Nebula today and I'm hooked. Now, its time for the old lady. She likes using mine, but if she's going to take the plunge herself, she wants something that is as close to a cigarette in appearance as possible. I like the DSE084, igetcha's review seems promising but I don't like the non-refillable carts.

Does anyone know of any other 84mm-ish e-cigs with refillable style carts? Ruyandirect.com has the 84mm e-cig she wants, but a pretty poor selection of cart flavors. Any retailers that have a larger selection of carts for that style of e-cig?

Thanks guys/gals, your expertise is appreciated.

First understand that in general, the more it looks like the real thing, the worse the performance. And most users find the carts have poor flavor and cost much more than refilling with liquid you buy.

The closes PV to the look of the real thing that also comes the closes to delivering consistently good performance is the 510 or Janty Dura-C. Any manual PV will far out perform an auto switch PV.

Thanks for your response. I'm well aware that the smaller the PV, the worse the performance, and I was worried about the goofy carts providing good flavor or vape. The problem is, my g/f of 5 years is stubborn as a mule. At this point, she doesn't care so much about 'performance' but a substitute for her analogues, and I'm inclined to cater to her wishes. She likes using my Nebula, but doesn't want one of her own because, well, who knows why, but she clearly said she doesn't. To be clear, I think its ridiculous, but whatever will get her to quit the cancer sticks, I'm all for.

She has been a long time Marlboro light smoke, she's gotten used to the feel, the drag resistance, and the all white cig; old habits die hard I suppose.

The 401 does the trick for me. Small and portable.
It's the only pv I have owned in my 100+ days of vaping.
I haven't felt the need to look for anything else.
Of course I have several batteries, atomizers, and 3 chargers.

I'm trying to push her in that direction. the 401's seem to be a good trade in terms of form factor and performance. Can you take a quick measurement for me, and let me know exactly how long it is, end to end. My Neb is 114mm, and thats a bit too long. If the 401's are closer to 100, I might be able to swing it.

I think she would like the DSE 103. I have that one as well as the 401. I like them both. My 103 does have the "cigarette" look and a good throat hit with the right juice. The juice that comes prefilled in the carts is not a good producer of vapor or flavor. Just buy some juice. I use Johnson's creek "kona coffee". Keep in mind, both these will do better after they have been "broken in". I bought the 103 from Eastmall

I've been looking at the 103 as well. Which is shorter? Remember, this isn't about changing my mind, this about me trying to cater to a woman who is beyond stubborn; and I can't blame her for knowing what she wants, its just a pain to cater sometimes, lol. ;)

Keep up the suggestions guys.:)

I disagree, my RN4801 has great performance! I get good vapor and good taste from it.

For the main question-I would definitely worry more about getting a good price then brand since a lot of these things are made in the same factory and then sent to different distributors which charge different prices. They all call the same thing different names on different sites. For example NJoy calls the RN4801 the NPRO. Just make sur you are ordering from a place that is located in the US so you get your product faster!!

While I agree with the good vapor from the 4801, I haven't touched mine since I got my kb, it's not that it didn't work...I just got tired of topping off the carts every 15 minutes.:D

I must be having good luck with mine cause I don't top it off and I only go through about 2 carts a day with vaping pretty consistently. I have 2 RN'staht I use, one for regular and one for other flavors, and I take the reular one with me everywhere. I have a DSE that I don't use that much cause I have to fill it up constantly, and I have a vx2 and a penstyle in the mail that I am super excited to use!! Is your KB a manual? I would like to check one o those out next time I order a new style!

Glad you're having good luck with yours!

Yeah my kb has a manual switch, which I use most of the time. It came with an auto too, but I prefer the manual one.
