Best Tank for the joyetech crl heads?

I'm vaping at 11 watts @ .44Ohms. Seriously burned hits no matter what I do. What tank should I get? I'm pretty sure the damn chimney is choking off the wicking holes. I can't believe the idiots who say Joyetech CLR coils works well with the Mega One. I can't see this being possible. So frustrated.

Just to be clear, this is your rebuilt coil and not how it came originally?
If so, did it work before rebuilding?
I don't have the mega, but I use the clr coils with the maxi, the 1.8 mil, the tron, the wismec amor, and the egrip v3. No problems with any of those.

I re-wicked with cotton bacon v2, I didn't swap out the coil. Using it on the mega one and it's dry hit city. I have a feeling the wicking holes get choked off by the chimney. It was happening with the pre-installed wick, but it's worse when I re-wicked. It doesn't look like I'm doing anything wrong. Really frustrating.
Some progress. Turns out if I drag on it SUPER HARD I don't get burned hits as much. STill looking for a better solution though.

I get your frustration, but having used the CLR coils myself for well over a year without any problems on eGo One Mega tanks, should make me an idiot too. Gonna re-wick with absolute minimal cotton, but the juice ring is completely down, I made sure of that. I'm using 60/40 strawberry milk from carolina-cloudz. This is so frustrating, I don't see how these clr heads got such great reviews nearly everywhere.
Could be the cotton bacon, it should be really fluffy, use an ID of at least 2.5mm, but again i'm just an idiot.
If it's the cotton bacon I'm dissapointed. I paid $7 shipped for this stuff because it's suppose to be superior, not to cause me headaches.

Trimmed them 100% flush, no difference. I don't understand at all what's going on here. Like I said when I dry pull through the chimney without pressing the fire button it wicks fine, I can vape it dry and let it sit for 30 minutes and it won't wick at all.
100% flush is too little cotton sticking out. Try some Muji organic cotton, or any organic cotton. Use an ID of 2.5mm, make it look like this:
Make sure the JFC ring (the bottom ring that says 0.5 Ohm) is turned all the way down. Make sure you're not using too much cotton, you should be able to move it back and forth through your coil without any force. Also wash your hands thoroughly with soap, then rinse with hot water, before touching the cotton. Remove the outer (hard surface) layers from the cotton before use.

I too am an idiot as I have no problem with the CLR coil in my mega head and I just use Walmart's cotton balls or cotton facial pads from Dollarama.
Another idiot chiming in. For MTL I have been using the CLR heads on both my Mega and Tron tanks without issue for several months.
