Ok this is probably a really silly question but don't your carto tanks leak when you lay them down? The one I have does :p

I've got all kinds of carto tanks--Phiniac, IBTanked, X8, generic smoktek, and an AMP tank (which is technically an Atty Tank, not a carto tank) and none of them leak if I lay them down.

One of the secrets to sealing up your carto tanks is to be sure the o-rings (around the caps, AND inside, around your carto) are lubed up before assembly. Putting together a carto tank with dry o-rings makes it more difficult to get together, the friction can damage the o-rings over times, and a little liquid on the rings just helps them seal up better.

I use a tiny bit of straight VG on my finger, which I wipe on the o-rings, AND on the inside of the tank tube, and the outside of my cartos before assembly. This makes them go together VERY easily, and they seal up like a champ...

I just bought the viva nova tank system to go with my Prodigy V3. I cannot get it to work on the mod, however it works on EGO battery. Can someone tell me what I need in order for it to work on my mod?

My suspicion is the connection of the Vivi Nova on the Prodigy. More than likely the connector pin of your Prodigy is either too long or too short to make a good electrical circuit. You could take an instrument to adjust the connector pic, but if other juice delivery devices are working well on it you might not want to mess with it.

I have a ViVi Nova mini and a AGA T2. Both work very well, great flavor and vapor production. I had only been vaping about a week when I got the AGA T2. I know, I read all the post telling us to wait till you have more experience before jumping into an RBA. But, my question is how do you gain experience If you don't have one in your hand? After I got it and built my first setup, I was like what's the big deal? It's not rocket science. It's wrapping a piece of wire around a SS straw or fiber of your choice. I've been using it for 6 weeks now and am still using the same SS wick. I have replaced the coil a couple of times. Not because of it burning out, I just do it every couple of weeks when I clean it. That keeps things nice and fresh. I don't know which is "the best" I doubt you'll ever get a consensus on that question. But, I will say if your interested in going RBA don't be intimidated. It's like learning to swim you just jump in and flail away. Be reassured, if you start to sink we'll be here to pull you out.

I don't have a problem of new vapors trying out an RBA IF they have done the appropriate research, have the appropriate tools, and the appropriate batteries and battery devices to use them on. These can be dangerous devices, especially if an uneducated (for lack of a better term) user is using ULR coils (sub 1 ohm coils) which seems to be the rage with RBA's at the moment. Self built coil resistance can change relatively drastically. ULR coils also have a stronger potential to push our batteries harder than they were designed to be used for and can result in a thermal runaway event that could result in burns or a fire.

Take for instance the relatively new vapor who was sold an already set up RBA with sub 1 ohm coils by a brick & mortar salesman. He apparently was not given much if any instruction on its use by the salesman. The customer did not own a multimeter let alone know what good one would be with an RBA. He collapsed two hot springs in a row and came to the forum asking what was the problem.

The vendor was doing the customer a disservice selling a noob vapor an advanced instrument like an RBA. The customer had not researched RBA's enough to know about battery safety, using a multimeter to test coil resistance, etc, etc. This vapor had, in my opinion, no business to be vaping on this device. Being that he blew two hot springs, he was close to hard shorting his battery and possibly causing a fire and injuring himself or destroying some property. The following is the thread:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/rebuildable-atomizer-systems/426176-mechanical-mod-rba-safety-question.html

There is a very good reason that Rebuildable Atomizers are considered advanced devices and carry warnings about their use on reputable and responsible vendor's product pages.

Thanks for taking a moment. I think I'll try an adapter 510 -> 510 and see if it might help.
