Been snooping around the forum for the past few days and the protank II seems to be everyone's favorite. Any other suggestions or is the protank 2 the way to go? Will be ordering tomorrow, am in desperate need for a new one since I ran out of replacement coils and have had to smoke "analog" in the meantime

Will be using with a 1000mah 3.3v eco-C if that matters at all, not sure which "ohm" I should get on the coils for that voltage

Also any suggestions on where to order from? Was going to go through discountvapers since they have a great price on the protank 2 and the replacement coils, but will go through anyone that would ship the fastest to california, i desperately miss my e-cig :[

Protank 2 isn't a bad device. Just remember it is a horizontal bottom coil tank if you haven't used a BCC before they do have their quirks you have to get used to as well as tweeks and modifications. If you are into BCC style tanks there is also the Davide (Protank/Protank 2 clone), Tatroe, as well as the G50 (Clone of the G50 is the Hypertank), all good solid performers. If you are used to top coils the Innokin iClears (iClear16, iClear30 and iClear30S (Upgrade to the iClear30) are great tanks, or the Vivi Nova tanks (Vision Vivi Novas, not the SmokTech Vivi Novas), with the Vision Vivi Nova been around the longest. Discount Vapes is a decent vendor, just watch out on their Brand name devices, they are clones, not wanting clones check out Madvapes, Gotvapes, or other US vendor, which you'll find a nice listing further down the main forum page.

Ohm rating on your devices with that Ego-C, warmer vape around 1.8ohms, cooler vape about 2.2ohms, no lower or no higher

Kanger Pro tanks are my go-to ... easy to maintain, easy to fill, with the kanger heads there isn't much flooding or gurgling, no leakage....
I'm sure you'll get many more oprinions and experiences from others....this is mine
I have 6 mini pro tanks and 2 regular size PT's

....and welcome to ECF!!!

The Protank is my current favorite, but there are lots of great tanks-- other bottom coil clearomizers, top coil clearomizers, carto tanks...

We've all got our own preferences. Some people dislike bottom coil clearomizers because it produces a "cooler" vapor. For me, however, that's not a negative quality but a positive quality: I love the "cooler" vapor.

So I would recommend trying it out and seeing whether you like it, but I don't think it's necessarily the only thing you should try or that it will definitely be the best thing for you. Everyone is different. :)

If you don't have variable voltage and do get a Protank, I'd recommend trying it with some 1.8 to 2 ohm coils.

@IMFire3605 you're saying the protank 2 from discountvapers is a clone?
Discount Vapers is one of three authorized Kanger distributors for the United States. Their Kangertech products are authentic. (Plenty of other places sell authentic Kanger products as well, but only these have this particular relationship with Kanger.)

That other guy almost scared me away from the site lol. Will be placing my order for the blue protank 2 (sadly they are out of stock on the original clear one :[ lol ) and the set of 5 1.8 ohm replacement coils. thanks :toast:

Discount Vapers' Kangertech products are the real deal. They come in factory sealed boxes and they're engraved with the Kangertech logo. :)

That doesn't mean they don't also sell clones. Smoktech, for example, makes a clone of Evolv's Kick. Discount Vapers sells the Smoktech Kick. And they tell you exactly what they're selling: it's listed at Discount Vapers as "Smoktech Kick Clone." Similarly, ehPro makes a clone of the Kayfun Lite RBA. Discount Vapers sells the ehPro clone. And it's listed at Discount Vapers as "Kayfun Lite Clone by ehPro." :)
