It's a loose draw, but I prefer that. Some people find creative ways to close off some/all of the holes to tighten it up.

I'm on day 5 with my PT2 and still in love. It has a removable drip tip, which is nice - so if you'd like a non-metal tip you can pick one up. It comes completely apart for easy cleaning. The coil is easy to change and clean. Airy draw but great flavor and solid vapor. It's a bit heavy if you've got it on an eGo style battery like I do vs a mod but I've gotten used to it. If you like bottom coils, and would like a bit more juice capacity and/or a glass tank, it's worth trying... if you don't like it, lots of people do so it's not like it would be difficult to resell.

I have the Protank and although it is a great tank, I find it a bit airy and not as much of a solid thick draw as compared to my Evods. Is this common?

I think that is a common issue. I know with my Protanks if I use them on the Vamo V3, they are airy because they do not SNUG down all the way. On my Provari they do snug down, so I can shut off the draw entirely. Some have suggested using toothpicks, some have used tape, etc to "plug" or block one of the existing airholes at the base of the Protank. I like the draw somewhat airy so I have yet to try that myself.

I love my protank, 1 and 2. They are easy to use and work great, I recommend them to everyone. The protank 2 has smaller holes in the base for a slightly tighter draw and you can swap the bases between the 1 and 2. Also for those asking, the Mini Protank 2 is shipping either end of this month or beginning of next, if you can hold out.

Ordered one for a friend, but I'd never use one. 1.2 ml capacity? That thing would last maybe 30 minutes for me. PuriTanks baby! 5ml of ejuice goodness!

I'm not sure that I'd agree on it being the best for newbs, although it is indeed bloody good.

I have to argue, though, that the Davide is up there on par with the ProTank 2.

I would agree with the OP.

I started with some Ego-C's and T3's. Tried some other various pieces (Spinners, EVOD's, Iclears, etc.) and always had one problem or another with the various cartomizers (leak, burnt taste, wouldn't produce vape, etc.).

I got the PT2 nearly two weeks ago and absolutely love it. I've got an order in for a couple more and will be getting the mini version as well. I wish it would have been available 6 weeks ago, and anyone staring now I would encourage to go straight to it. It's just as easy to use, more durable, and changing the tip is a great bonus (have already purchased 5 different tips).

I'm still using the EGO-C, which I love, and will be getting a couple of winders soon. Near the end of the year I might move up to Mod's, but for now this set up is great.

As for the Davide, my wife has one, and while I like it too, I don't like refilling it. The holes are just too small, and don't always feel like putting on my glasses just to fill the tank. My wife's favorite juice is pretty thick, which makes it even harder to fill without getting juice down the center tube. For that reason, I prefer the PT2 over the Davide.

they are interchangeable but if you order evod replacement coils you will see they are shorter then protank

in fact I ordered protank when evod heads where out of stock and I can see the difrence

That's old stock. Kanger has stated they're moving to one head for both the Evod and Protank. Once the short Evod heads are gone, it'll be one size fits all.

I've purchased both an evod and a Protank II in the last month and their heads are the same now, as far as I can tell.

maby in the protank 2 what I am going on is the replacement coils I ordered

the ones listed as protank vrs the ones listed as evod

I had ordered the protank coils for my evod when vender was out of the stock because website said they were inter changeable

and that was the difference

Lately I have been trying to decide which bottom coil glass tank I should buy and I've seen under protank reviews some comments on that being the reason for the airy draw

I do get an easier draw on my evod's with them but I would not say it's airy

Now I have not seen all that much on the protank 2 other then it seems to have fixed the problems of the protank and that is what I am leaning towards
