Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
Congratulations on choosing an outstanding mod to start your vaping journey with , i always recommend starting slow and that would involve an Aspire Nautilus tank which you can pickup at virtually any vendor .

That mod will be fine with most any tank , i would go to the RTA section of the forum to discuss tanks there.

Hi @john r and welcome to the forum. The most recommended tank for newbies going off of cigs is the Aspire Nautilus Mini (I prefer the mini over the full sized). You can get factory coils in 1.6 or 1.8 ohm. In my opinion it has a great taste and is the closest to resemble the cig. It's what made the difference in my vape getting off the stinkys.

You will also get a few referrals for eh Uwell Crown and Kanger Subtank Mini, both of which can use factory coils or the rba (rebuildable deck to make your own coils).

With the Nautilus I started at 12 mg juice (2 packs a day of lights) though your use/level may vary. If you go with the Subtanks or Crown you will probably want a lower nic as they consume more juice and ingest more nicotine.

I've used these U.S. vendors (usually 4 days order to delivery):
www.myvaporstore.com (New York)
www.originvape.com (New York)
www.vapeNW.com (Washington State)
www.vapesupersaver.com (Georgia)
www.sweet-vapes.com (Wisconsin)
www.mtbakervapor.com (Arizona)
www.myfreedomsmokes.com (North Carolina)
www.madvapes.com (Carolinas)
www.gotvapes.com (Texas)

China
www.fasttech.com (2 week delivery)

The MVP Pro is an awesome e-cig mod. I love it.

It can take any sort of tank from simple low-power to mighty sub-ohm.

In general, they offer two different types of vape.
1. Gentle vapor (8-15 watts, approx.) with a tank that encourages mouth to lung inhaling and
2. Intense vapor (25-60 watts) with a tank where you draw in with your lungs direct.

There is a middle way (15-25 watts, approx) which is kind of no-mans land - well, for me anyway.

For the 8-15 watts 'MTL' type of vaping, I use and enjoy the Eleaf GS tank and the Aspire Mini Nautilus. I also use rebuildable Kayfuns.

For sub-ohm, I use rebuildable drippers (RDA) and plain old Kanger subtanks (sometimes with temperature control)

Most of my vaping is gentle 'plug and play' to get me through the day. The Eleaf GS tanks is my current favorite, over the Mini Nautilus.

:)

i have just bought a itaste 3.0 pro 60 watts. what is the best tank to use with it.dont know much about vapeing but i know i want to stop smoking cigs. what is the best tank to use and were do i get these tanks. many thanks john.

I know, it's repetitive, but the Nautilus, as suggested by others, is a great tank for beginners and experts alike. It is a tried and true tank, and is one of my preferred tanks for recommending to new vapers.

The Itaste 60w is more powerful than you'll need, but that is actually a good thing. That gives you room to grow should you decide to go more in depth into vaping. At the same time, it offers a much longer life than an ego battery, and is a lot more reliable. It will give you a better experience overall at vaping from the start, and allows you to customize your vape. I say you made a great choice with the battery.

The next hardest thing to get is juice you like. For that, I recommend going to a local vape shop and try out some of their flavors. Reading about it is one thing, but finding one YOU like, is another.

Welcome to the forums, and feel free to ask if you have ANY questions.

thanks for your replys. i have been off the cigs since september and have a itaste two. i just want to upgrade it. it was alright to start with. i need something a bit stronger. i was 60 cigs a day when i smoked.
What tank are you using now? "Something a bit stronger" suggests to me that you might want to consider using a subohm tank. Greater amount of vapor, which will result in a higher amount of nicotine being delivered. For many, switching to a subohm tank results in also switching to a lower nicotine level in the juice. With the 60 watts in the mvp pro 3, that will be sufficient for ALMOST every subohm tank available. I say almost because the TFV4, with the different coil options available, can use much more power than the mod can produce. Some of the "more extreme" coil options for the TFV4 can handle upwards of 80-120 watts.
