I think its all about what works for you and gives the best results

I am currently using a 510 auto battery with a CE2 clearomiser/CE3 smokymizer - easy hassle free and vapes like a dream

Like many before I have spent a lot of money trying many different types but in the end i went back to something small, light and efficient.

Here's a list of the stuff I have used:

Main Units/batteries

Greensmoke
KR808D-1 (901 thread)
Screwdriver MkII (901 thread)
Tornado (510 thread)
Titan (510 thread) - Manual and Auto

Cartridges/Atomisers

Greensmoke
Boge
CE2 R3
CE2 R4
Tornado Tank
510 Tank
GE4
510-T
CE2 Clearomiser (both normal and XL)
CE3 Smokymiser

Don't include mods? That's like saying, "What are the two best foods in the world, but you can't list chocolate or bacon?" Jesus.

The answer is Reo Grand and Silver Bullet. Its the question that's wrong.

Agree, I just got my Silver Bullet and at 2.0 ohm 510 atomizer it rocks!!! but I still love and use my eGo kit daily at work 900mAh batteries with a LR 510 atomizer.

No mods....no suggestions.

I haven't tried a whole lot of e-cigs I went straight to mods when I started the ones I have tried are the standard 510 - battery life was way to short, the ego worked pretty good but constant dripping bummed me out using the carts just wasn't for me, the volt works good but again filling the cartos is a pain.

no love for the venerable RN4081 out there? nJoy nPros (and similar) got me off analogs, so I am forever grateful. I have some more powerful set ups that I use, but I find the old nJoy's to be a very reliable back-up when (inevitably) my more complicated stuff fails. I just picked up a couple new nJoy batt's at 7-11 last weekend.

Two best kits for me are Riva 510 (eGo clone) and Joye 510 manuals with standard 510 attys...because they work and keep me from analogs. There are much better PVs of course and they'll always come out with something new, bigger, faster, better. Whatever works for you, no hassles, no frustrations, they would be your best.

I've been using the same thing I've used since day one: Joye 510 standard resistance atomizers (after one disastrous attempt at using lr atomizers) on Ego batts (when not using my pass thru). I suppose there are better things out there (must be given the raves other setups receive) but since I also haven't had an analog since day one I'm following the tried and true "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"!
