I have been using a 650 mah ego passthru, and am looking to get some replacement batteries. I got unexpectedly upgraded to tank atomizer I am pretty sure type A, not sure the capacity of the tank but it seems to be only a little over a Ml. The tank has one of those silicone caps on it, and it has leaked but with some of the tips here I think I can handle that by ordering some replacement caps and using the 12 ga needle trick. Any recommendations on an upgrade battery I should be looking to? I like the look of the clearomizers, and I like the tank for holding liquid, seems very efficient. I want to try a variable voltage battery, but I definitely want to stay with a passthru that is also a battery. I like the ones with the locking feature(5 clicks) Any suggestions from the wisdom of the forum? I have not kept up with innovations in the past year and am open to just about any suggestion. I am curious about the new attys that you just replace the head on? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

the joyetech eGo-c has the replaceable 'heads' where when the coil burns out you just have to replace the head (coil, connection and spike plate/wicking instead of the whole atty body. The eGo-c 'upgrade' PT has the improved charging and shorting protection - improved over the eGo-t and earlier eGo batts. All eGo-c batts have the 5 click shutoff.

The eGo-c attys come in two types - A - which is cone shaped and has a capacity of @1.2ml and B - which is cylinder shaped and has a capacity of @2.5ml. I've found that with the c atty tanks, the hard caps do better than the soft caps (not so with the eGo-t's where the soft caps were better). I vape mostly the A's but now have a few B attys as well - in flavor and vapor there is very little difference. The early B attys had some leaking problems whereas the A's didn't, in my experience. Since then they tweaked the B units to where they are less likely to leak and on the ones I have recently I haven't had any leaking problems.

There is also a new line (fairly new) of clearomizers that use the same 'coil changing' aspect of the eGo-c where you can change only the coil when it goes bad and not have to replace the entire clearomizer. Available here:

5pc eGo 2.4ml CC (Coil Changable) clear cartomizer / clearomizer - 510/eGo Cartomizer Heaven Gifts

with the coil packs available here:

5pc Coil unit for CC (Coil Changable) clear cartomizer / clearomizer - 510/eGo Cartomizer Heaven Gifts

I can't vouch for them yet - I have some on order which should be here mid week.

I've seen them for $25 shipped from a few places. You'll need a pair of them so you vape one while the other charges and you'll also need an eGo charger if you don't have one. I gave mine to my son and got an Apolly VTube kit for $52.47 shipped for black, silver, or red (mine came with 2 batteries, only one is included now) which works very well for me. I just could't read the tiny numbers on the Twist dial and the 650 mah battery is as long as an 1100. If you get an Apollo, use code: vtube30

I'm partial to the DCTs, myself.

Is there any particular reason that you're only using that vendor? There are plenty of them around, and most people have found that - to get exactly what you want - it's best to shop from multiple vendors.

For instance, I buy cartos from Madvapes, and my hardware from AltSmoke, and then I hop over to Good Prophets/MyFreedomSmokes/Wizard Labs for Nic/flavoring...

No real hard on for that vendor, they just happened to be near the top of the list when I was searching for specific ego models, and they seem to carry genuine joye products (at least from the descriptions) and seem to have everything I am interested in at one site, as well as a few things I was curious about. I prefer to shop with one vendor because I dont like tracking a bunch of packages from different people so when i do buy, it will likely all be from the same vendor. I have been checking out sites reading various forum posts of such and such got something from this vendor, and such from another so I am still considering who to actually purchase from. Thanks for the suggestions tho, I will check them out. I have purchased from MyFreedomSmokes before and was pleased with them.

I just got a package from MyFreedomSmokes, took right around 3 days. 500mls of 36mg nic, 2 empty glass bottles and an eGo battery. Packaging was awesome....well...except the part that I had to cut open all the tape and things.

I also like to shop around a bit because some vendors prices are different...and then there are sales. If you didn't know about it, keep an eye on this thread. It's got all the current sales and coupon codes.

thanks for the replies, I am building a wishlist at myvaporstore for when I get some money in, I am going to give a couple ego twists a try along with another couple passthrough's and the ego-c atomizers, type A. anyone have any experience with the clearomizers such as
eGo CE4 PLUS V2 Clearomizer / Vision/ Stardust
510 Pro DCTank Combo
or
510 Ultimate CE2 Clearomizer XL
I see mixed reviews on the site. They look cool but I am not sure I need them lol.

I've been using the Vision V2 Ego clearomizers, these are the ones with the metal tube that sticks up, and the long wicks, also I believe that they have a new type of plastic that doesn't crack like the old ones. I love them, on an Ego 900 mah battery they vape like a steam engine and produce good flavor. I like the 2.5 - 2.9 ohm, but the 2.1 - 2.4 works for me too.

Vape On!,
Little Brother

the ego twist is frickin AWESOME! i have the stainless steel 1000mah and it rips. i made the mistake of getting a lavatube for my first VV, wich is entirely way too big for bringing with me to work and werever. if u DO get a tube of some sort, i would highly recommend getting a mini. vaporbeast.com has them in stock right now. but uf you want something that is sleek and portable, and VV, id most DEF get 2 ego twists. the 1000mah is a bit longer then my 900 mah volt ego, and some people think thats too big. i beg to differ. but if you want somethin smaller, the 650 or 900 will be great. i can guarantee that.

IMHO. The Ego Twist is the game changer as Grimm Green declares. I'm on my second and they are outstanding and consistent performers. The thing I like is that with the dial in voltage feature I reverted back to Boge LR cartos since they kick .... with these Twists ( for me at about 4.2V), this keeps the cost down since I dont need to try every carto design out there. Mike and Carols site has the 650 for about $20 bucks.
