Hello i just joined the forum after lurking for 7 months or so. the first liquid i ever tried was a vanilla from dragonfly ecigs out of texas ordered along with my first eGo kit. it was light in color and heavy on vapor with a moderate throat hit. pretty good. i thought it was just dekang (YNDK on the cap), but every other dekang vanilla i have seen was very dark in color and quite foul tasting. since then ive been looking for the perfect vanilla flavor. Ive tried many and so far Backwoods Brew Vanilla bean is the winner hands down. perfect taste and hit at 24mg. Its only flaw is that it seems to eat cartomizers for breakfast. I just got my newest order from BWB, vanilla bean in 18mg and it it much lighter in color. im hoping that this will stop killing my cartos in a day, but im wondering: are there any other good vanillas out there?

I'm a huge vanilla fan and have tried a lot- my favorites are: KBV's V spot (by far the winner for the store bought variety IMO) with Ms. T's Bakery's Vanilla Custard as a distant second. I also love the flavor of TastyVapor's vanillas (ultimate vanilla is the one I liked best) but I can't vape their mix, it has too much PG in it for me, so I can't actually, you know, use it. I also like FlavourArt's Classic Vanilla as a DIY mixer. I wasn't wild about Backwoods' Vanilla Bean- not enough flavor for me- but it was a good start, I just wanted it more intense. I also am pretty sure Ms. T's uses Capella's flavorings, and you can DIY their vanillas pretty well using Capella's Vanilla Custard IMO.

Oh, and KBV's V Spot hits it's stride maybe a month after ordering. It starts out as a pale pale yellow, and ends up as dark as coffee almost!

ETA: Many vanillas are hard on cartos and atomizers. KBV's is pesky, TV's absolutely deadly on them, and Ms. T's is actually not bad at all. Might try a few of hers- they're all relatively similar (Gourmet Vanilla, Vanilla Ice Cream, Vanilla Custard, etc.- tried all of them, they all taste pretty much like Capella Vanilla Custard as the primary ingredient. Capella VC is fairly light in color, however, even aged, so they're much, much easier on your equipment than the darker vanillas. BTW, Backwoods may age to dark and deadly, too- mine did. Flavour Art's vanillas also age dark, but if I mix them with Cheesecake- I use Perfumer's Apprentice Cheesecake usually- it keeps them much lighter, but they still taste of vanilla primarily.

I might have to try DIY. Ive heard a lot of good things about mrs. t's but i also hear there's not much throat hit to them and also that the pg/vg ratio is undisclosed. How is the throat hit on it? is it thin enough to wick well in cartos? anyway ill have to put VR and KBV at the top of my list to try. Also, awesome avatar mustangsallie. i love that car... thanks for the replies everyone!

I used to use BWB vanilla and loved it but after a while I decided 20% or less VG made my cartos last longer. In addition, light clear juices that leave little or no flavoring sediment make my cartos last longer.

So I am not saying they are the best vanillas but this is what I use now:

Gourmet Vapor vanillarum 80PG/20VG or less VG (and I usually buy it when they have a sale - sign up there so you will get their email sale notices - sometimes a sale is 50% off) - vanilla with caramel and rum (I have it without nicotine and it is very light and clear)

and I mix that in the carto with:

Vapor4Life WOW Vanilla - (has a small amount of sediment) - this is a sharp-edge thin clear light liquid with a sweet marshmallowy or cotton candy vanilla flavor - this I have nicotine in, it is a clear orange color but not much sediment

I really like the feel of the two of those together - the vanillarum has sort of a whoosh flare in the mouth from the rum flavor and the WOW vanilla has a thin rough edge to is an quite sweet.

BTW - I tried both Tasty Vapor Ultimate Vanilla and their Buttercream (both with sweetened selected) and though I liked the tastes they had way too much sediment
