Best way to carry 18650 batteries

I use protected 18650 batteries and I want to carry a few in my purse just in case. I do not have a container to carry them in. Is it safe to put each into a separate sandwich baggy? I worry about them making contact with my keys or an altoid tin and just want to know the safest way to lug them around in my purse.
