Hi all im a absolout newbie on vaping, but i went all out,in for a penny in for a pound and bought a provari with a 3ml al liquidnator tank 5 slotted boge 3olm cartos and 10 boge (sr) cartos.12 flavors, nicotine,pg,vg all so i can do it myself.I intend to mix my recipes by syringe and write them down and perfect them over time.So what i want to know is what is the minimum amount that can be mixed EG 3ml,and the best way to vape them without using to many cartos,as i heard that flavors tend to stick around in cartos.Tnx for any advice.PS i read also that some are using pure alcohol to thin their mix does this change the flavor? TNX

If you are going to mix, I think you would be money ahead getting an atomizer and a drip tip. Clearing out the flavor of sweat socks dipped in ditch muck of an atomizer would only require it being blowned out from the threaded end and dripping some plain PG on it and vaping until the flavor is gone.

If you find that you like sweat socks dipped in ditch muck, then you can load it into your tank and enjoy. Getting flavors cleared out of a cartomizer can be done, but it requires more effort and time than the few seconds it takes to clear an atomizer. Besides, you have yet to find the level of flavoring that will work for you, so you should be spending some time with each of your 12 flavorings discovering that level for each flavor. An atomizer is priceless for this type of add-shake-taste-add-shake-taste operation.

Unless you plan on going with high VG% mixes, you should not need to thin your mixes with alcohol, or distilled water, but yes it can change the taste. Sometimes the change is good and sometimes it is not and sometimes it is not noticable.

I expect to see your forum name popping up in the DIY E-Liquid sub-forum as a lurker, at the very least, in the coming months.

Hoosier is exactly right - get an atty. And with the provari, you have the perfect tool for testing flavors. You just need a standard 510 atty (no lr needed). Suggest a joye 510 because of the metal mesh base to hold ejuice.

Drip a few drops on the atty bridge and then test it out at 3.5 volts, 4 volts and 4.5 volts. (anything higher is likely to burn out a 510) Flavors taste different at different wattages. Your lighter flavors should do well at lower voltages and the stronger ones will come alive with more volts. Some flavors can span that range - taste good both high or low, although they may taste a bit different. RY4 is a good example. (if you like the taste to begin with ;) )

In between flavors, drop a few drops of pg or vg/H2O blend (80:20) without nic or flavor to clean - vape until no flavor.... then try your next sample.
