A little known fact that just crossed my mind. What to do with those Cigarettes laying around not getting smoked since you started vaping.

tobacco can be used to make a bug spray. It is fairly easy to make. Nicotine is extremely Toxic to insects. (Someone remind me why i put this junk in my body) It is only toxic for 2 or 3 hours so it fairly safe for bees. It was also used quite a bit in the late 1800's by farmers as one of the top insecticides for a era and is still used today.

To make it you just add 1/2 cup of tobacco per 1/2 gallon of warm water. Also add a 1/8 a teaspoon of soap. Soak for at least a half hour. Then strain the brew threw a coffee filter or cheese cloth. Add to a sprayer and you got a all natural bug spray. :D

You can also use them on bee stings. Rip 1 cig apart add a little water and put on the sting it will help draw the stinger out and slightly numb it. I have been using this ever since my paramedic sister did it for one of my kids. I would never have thought about the bug spray I might try it I live in FL bugs everywhere.

I 've got 5 packs vacuum sealed and in the freezer. Its an investment. I'm gonna wait til the price hits $100.00 a pack due to excessive taxation. Then I will sell them on Ebay. LOL.

Btw, it does help relieve the pain of insect stings. When I was a kid, Grandpa would pull his pipe apart and put that nasty brown stuff on the stem on my wasp stings. It was fast and effective. Or maybe it was the placebo effect, but it worked.

Unfortunately it is against Ebay rules to sell tobacco on their site. Although you might get away with it if no one flags your listing.

I buy tobacco dust from the feed store once a year, and spread it around the yard, and sprinkle it into the carpet like the glade carpet powder stuff.

It is THE BEST thing to kill pleas and ticks. They sell it at the feed store for that purpose.

I know the carpet idea freaks people out, but you just sprinkle it like you do the carpet fresh stuff, let it sit a cpl hours while the dogs are kenneled, and the kids are at school, and vacuum it up. Works awesome, and kills ALL the bugs, especially fleas, and they seem to not come around after the insect Armageddon.

Doesn't seem to kill ants though. Although I don't mind the little black ones anyway. They are like natures tiny little clean up crew.

You know, I had completely forgotten about tobacco as a remedy for bee stings until you guys brought it up. My grandmother used to keep a tin of Bruton Snuff around all the time for that specific purpose. Having grown up in northern Alabama (WAR EAGLE!), Red Wasps were always a problem. She'd spit on her finger, dip it in the snuff, and rub it on the sting area. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories, guys. She passed away back in '97. Taught me a lot about how to respect nature, animals, and life in general. I'm definitely a better man for having known her.

Thats a good one to know. Although we dont get Fleas here in Tucson i have lived places where they have been bad. We would have to fog the house and then you would have to stay out of it for 12 hours. Still didnt like breathing that air after the wait. For sure going to try this method if i get a Flea problem again.

When I was approximately 12 years old, I got stung by a wasp under my right eye - high on cheek bone. I went into the house crying (cause that sucker hurt) and told my g-mother what had happened. As long as I live, I'll never forget what she did.....she dipped snuff and put her finger in her cheek and put a glob of snuff on the wasp sting. I was so grossed out....granny spit on my face! YUCK! BUT, it worked. I couldn't wait to wash my face. I used to use tobacco on stings. My son hated it, but again, it worked. Now I don't have a supply of it anymore. Now that is kewl. I destroyed my stash a little over a week ago....6 packs that I had in the freezer. I wasn't about to give someone my cancer stiks, so I ripped them over the garbage. I was using my freedom to choose my future, and my future does NOT include analogs! My dr. got all kinds of happy this week when I told him that I hadn't smoked 1679 analogs. Gee, I can't even believe it. I give ALL Praise, Honor, and Glory to God! Reading encouraging words from all of the people at this website has helped me as well. Thank you, guys.:thumb:

I have one pack of cigs in the freezer. I can't seem to throw it out. It is a mind think - I know they are there so I don't panic that I CAN'T have an analog. It sounds stupid but it works because I have not had one analog since I started vaping. Now I can tell people I am keeping it for bee or wasp stings.
