Best wick for thicker juices?

What type of wick would work best for thick juices(100%VG) in a clearomizer? I modified my Protank a little to take care of my leaking problem by adding a 1mm wick on top of the others on the head. This works great for thinner juices(probably 50/50 or 50/60. Whatever Unicorn Blood is.) but with Boba's Bounty, it doesn't wick as well. It still works but I can't take more than a couple puffs until I need to wait a minute for the juice to get back down. Is there any specific wick or setup that will work better with thick juices?

I don't know about the Protank, but I have been re-wicking Vivi-novas and Kanger T3's with cotton for some time now and they seem to wick my 100% VG juice fine. I use a white twine for wrapping meat.
Possibly wash the cotton or boil it first and dry to get rid of the sizing and other properties that might inhibit wicking...

any arts and craft store should carry this, get the 100% non-bleached cotton yarn.

I got mine at Wal-Mart, I think it was 120 yards for $1.77. You can't beat that!
It is great for wicking, but everything I have read says not to dry-burn with it because it will burn!
