Hello,

I've been vaping for about 3 months, and I am currently using Joy-EGO-T. At first I loved e-cigs, and went for three whole weeks without my usual ciggy's, which was a miracle because I was 20-a-day for 40 years!

I've recently started going back to my old ciggy's, and I feel awfull physically, and the wrinkles have returned!... I want to keep vaping but...

The problem is:

1: I need more vapor to inhale/exhale which I think I can do with the PG instead of the VG...
2: I need a stronger atty? to get a bigger puff (I seem to puff long and hard and get little results).
3: I'm getting fed up of having mouth-fulls of e-liquid.
4: My tanks all leak like crazy?

Is there another e-cig out there that has a more powerful atty, and does not have a leaky tank?

I'm still unsure of e-cigs terminology. To me an atty? is the thing that heats up to cause the vapor (I may be wrong)...

Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.

Oh!, and to other newbies... I've found e-cigs do work :)

.

First, I would ditch the tank and try a good dual coil cartomizer. Better hit and no leaking. If that doesn't do it for you, then there are MANY better PV's than an eGo. The eGo is only putting out a puny 3.2 volt power.

Move up to a good 5 volt or variable volt or power regulated model and you will wonder why it took you so long to upgrade. Much warmer vapor and consistency. I would look at the 5 volt GLV2 and the power regulated Darwin for much better hit, warmth and consistency:

The cheapest and quickest thing you could do is get some cartomizers, specifically some Boge 2.0. Alot of places carry them, i.e. CrystalClearVaping.com; Electronicstix.com and Liberty-Flights.com. CCV has the best price.

VG will give you more vapor but less throat hit and flavor. Many ejuice vendors allow you to order your juice in varying percentages. I'd suggest using a 70/30 pg/vg ratio for cartomizers.

If you order from libertyflights, be sure to click on the flag/20% off thingie at the top of the page :) Good luck!!

My experience is tanks = leakage. I've tried all I'm aware of except the JonBoy tanks (on the wait list). Maybe a bottom or top feeder would be a fit for you like a GLV3 from GreatLakesVapor or Reo Grande from ReoMods?

If you like the Fat Batt class ecigs/PV like your eGo I'd suggest a KGO. Higher voltage (bigger, stronger hit) and 1100 mAh (batt lasts all day). They can take the stress of low resistance supplies and deliver steady performance all day rathering than dwindling satisfaction. Throw a 1.5 to 2.0 atomizer on it for a full, thick, flavorful hit. The performance rivals a $100+ mod for $42 to $46 bucks. Good luck :)

You can use any atomizer or cartomizer with a 510 connector on your ego batteries, so don't be afraid to experiment. Try Boge LR cartomizers, a lot of people swear by them and I find Boges to be a great vape. Or give the ego mega dual coil cartos a try.

One thing with the Tanks, if you try to draw too hard you'll flood the atty, so that could be why you're getting juice in your mouth. Try taking lighter, longer pulls on it.

Also, it's VG that gives you more vapor, not PG, but using more VG will also reduce your throat hit. You can experiment with all VG juice, the vapor will be excellent, but you'll need to add a little vodka or PGA to give it some throat hit (unless you don't care about that aspect).

EDIT: wow, I type slow . . . I thought I was the first reply :p All of the above is good advice, too. You'll just have to experiment a bit to find what works best for you

Completely disagree with this advice. Little to no difference in TH by using an additive like this. Warmth of vapor and nicotine strength provide 90+% of TH. More PG will help some. Everything else is a waste. I've tried most of them on the market.

Try the low resistance cartomizers- either the boge 2.0 or the ones from CCV. You will notice a difference. I didn't mind the tanks as far as vaping but it's a much lighter, cooler vape.

If that doesn't cut it, like people here suggested, try an inexpensive box mod. You can pick one up pretty cheap. If you find that works better for you, invest in a better one.

...first off, ditch the tanks...some love 'em, MANY don't...they are just too fiddly...goto crystalclearvaping.com and get a bundle(15) of the Boge2.0LR cartomizers or even better, their 1.7ohm Resurrectors...with the bundle is 2 drip tips, a syringe and free shipping...I am pretty sure these will rock your world compared to the tanks...to help increase vapor production, try a juice with a higher VG level...80PG/20VG or higher...a word about cartos...they must be filled completely at first and should be topped up regularly to keep the filling from singeing...both the 2.0s and especially the tall 1.7s are fairly warm/hot and need that wetness to have best production and longevity.........

Good info, mate. I don't add alcohol to my vapes, myself, so I don't have firsthand experience on the subject. I like my high VG mixes just the way they are :p I've just seen it recommended over and over for adding throat hit

I appreciate your positive response. It keeps getting recommended by those who don't have a clue what true throat hit really is. They mistake "throat irritation" with good throat hit. They've could never have vaped with higher nic strength liquid on a good 5 volt or VV PV or they would know the difference.

My experience is tanks = leakage.
I think part of this is a misconception. If you use the silicone caps (soft tops) offered for the eGo-T you will eliminate almost all the leaking issues. More often than not as the atty air holes start to clog people start drawing on them harder instead of cleaning them or changing them out. If you draw hard on a clogged atty you will literally suck the juice right out of the tank. This isn’t a leak it’s a matter of physics. :2c:

If you let the tanks get below the attomizer then they will leak a lot more and will go into the mouthpiece, etc- once in a while there is an unexpected "dump" I hear but have not had that happen. These seem to always have a little moisture on the sides when you pull them out to refill, but to me it's worth it as opposed to other systems. As long as I refill mine when it just starts to show clear right beneath the atty it helps tremendously. I have been using the e-GO T system for just over 4 weeks and have learned some of the tricks. After reading a lot of info on forums I haven't seen any that don't have issues, and this e-Go
system seems to be as good as any. There is a lot of discussion on the LR attomizer so I finally got one but personally did not see more vapor or anything better. Where you buy seems to make the difference and I have found better vapor through myfreedomsmokes.com but that's my opinion. Others on here are much more aware of those things and can provide better advice, I'm sure.

wv2win - I've never tried a 5v or vv. What is the difference between throat hit and throat irritation?

Throat hit, which is not a good term to describe it, is the feeling one gets when you inhale an analog as it's going into your lungs. Warmer vapor (5 volt/VV) and higher nicotine strength, comes the closes to simulating what I call the "inhaled feel" of an analog. It's a smooth constriction. Throat irritation is a burning feeling in the back of the throat. Two completely different sensations. There is no burning with good throat hit.
