better vape frpm PT after battery

So I have discovered I get better vape from a refilled carto after I have taken a few puffs from a battery then use it on my PT. If I go straight to the PT its not as good. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Some people have mentioned that it used to take them a good 12 hits or so before their regular cartos started working optimally and they haven't found that to be the case with the new premiums which start hitting from the get go.

My guess is the higher voltage of the PT warms up the carto and gets it pumping quicker than the lower voltage batts.
